Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion is an Occult Grimoire

Hi Chuckman, I'd like to thank you for taking the time, not only for the benefit others, but also for yourself in trying to look beyond the immediate to try to really understand the allegorical symbolism that NGE is trying to convey. I tip my hat to you, good sir! ^_^ [...] In fact, I suspect that ...

I saw Birdman yesterday. It's absolutely brilliant. I didn't bother to count the layers of reflection the story has to offer.

Yeah, I know. I meant that very general, although I quoted you. Sorry for that.

Both. I guess that's somewhat right. But personality disorders shouldn't be diagnosed in minors. 14 is way too young to determine that. Any psychiatrist would consider watching you mum vanishing inside some big monster call a trauma. So I'd diagnose him with some trauma related chronic ...

And the manga just didn't know how to end, so bottled it. I agree with that. I really like the manga, it was Evas incarnation I got to know first, even before the TV series. But that reset felt uninspired to me. I prefer EoTV to EoE. Absolutely. When I saw EoTV I knew that the movie existed and...

Re: Volume 14 of Sadamoto's Manga - Anybody else got their c

At any rate, the question is, is there something I'm missing about Mari from not having seen 3.0? Or does this mean there's something about her that they're planning for 4.0? Or is it another one of Evangelion's "Let's see how much we can confuse the fans!" moments? [/...

Huh? Rei snowing? Was there something I didn't get?
I pretty much agree with the rest of what you wrote.

I guess the scene when Rei smiles.

And what Rei IV said:
Shin-chan's smile in episode 26 (and the symbolism behind it)....Something EoE took away.

Google tells me that's ~178cm and I wouldn't call a guy of that height short either. I think that's pretty normal, at least where I live.

I guess most girls / women want the man to be taller then they are themselves. So I'd suggest short girls.
I never heard my female friends say that they specifically only like guys above a certain height.

what i meant was: assuming everyone has no sexual category except for a few people is a bit naive, then again having sex with men in old rome was a "manly" thing to do so you cant say those guys had a category now can you? Oh, ok, I see. Well, I know that most people need their categories...

It's been known since the Kinsey studies that it's just not in Hollywood that everybody is a little bit gay. I have never found it plausible why people even have to be sorted into categories of sexuality. Unless you belong to the few (just my personal observation that those are few)...

I recently watched the most gory thing I personally have ever watched in anime: Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyaku Sareta Tamashii no Jukyou It's an adaptation of a game series and only four episodes long. But every episode is filled with blood, people's bowels, brains and what not... I...

Char's Counter-Attack (CCA) does take place after ZZ, though ZZ isn't really required viewing in order to understand it (for the most part). "CDA" refers to the manga Char's Deleted Affair . ZZ comes across as something of a "fuck you" to Zeta fans, a...

I pick hentai because anime is often times a front end for hentai. And if hentai doesn't yet exist for an anime (which is rare), then the imagination takes over if it's caught in that cyclic pattern of masturbation to drawn characters. It is an awful one since the need for a new wai...

No, CDA takes place between MSG and Zeta, Origin is the manga of MSG. Oh, good to know. :gasp: I always thought Char's Counter Attack took place after ZZ. Maybe I mistook the production order for the chronologic one. During a sleepless night, I started ZZ yesterday and there's a good chance...

Hello everyone, Gundam newbie here! I just finished Zeta, following the common advise to watch Gundam in production order. It left me sad and confused... Is it Kamille himself, who is able to unite the souls of the dead within his body, or does he need the Gundam for that? I he does, was this the in...

Just finished Zeta Gundam, now I'm sad... :| The ending is a good one, story-telling wise, but a bad one when it comes to the viewers emotions...
So, guess what I'm going to do to lift my spirits? Correct, watch Gundam ZZ. :hahaha:
