Funny coincidence that was pointed in another forum: (description of the S2 Engine from the Eva2 game files) The S2 Engine Theory was advocated by Dr. Katsuragi. As the world is formed with spirals, the engine acquires energy from its shape, which is the same as DNA. From here, the S2 Engine...

Did anyone see the translation to the episode 8 preview that was flying around...? EPISODE 8 Preview Okay, Simon… Don’t forget this. Believe in yourself. Not in me, who believes in you. Not in you who believes in me. Believe in yourself. Believe in yourself! ... Does that mean Kamina is already ...

Where would Eva be if it gave the fans what they wanted during its original run? I tell you where, inbetween Gundam Variation 39 and 40. Not really. Even in the beginning, Eva was basically mixing an 70s robot kind of setting, a private organization/laboratory fighting against unknown monsters, wit...

It so far doesn't hint 1/10th of the character complexity of Evangelion (I was so sure the main character Simon was going to be like Shinji, complex and overcome by his very human fears, but Simon seems to just say "I'm too scared to fight! No wait, I will!". ) While I don...

Episode 02 was as good as the first one. I suppose they went with simple designs to help the animation, or will the animation quality drop later on due to mismanagement...? Anyway, I really liked the twist at the end involving Kamina.

I was pleasantly surprised with this title. Yes, it doesn't look like the next Eva or anything close, but the first episode was definitely entertaining, more than Gunbuster's first one. It was over the top sometimes, but still with one foot on the ground, unlike other animes that tried a sim...

The four movies will include a prequel, a mid-series movie, a sequel and a "final" movie. The prequel movie is due out early summer 2007.

- As an antithesis to current animation industry segments. It is an attitude on the production side to pull the act in the age that started from Eva. I am seriously confused by this statement. Can someone please explaine it to me. I apologize for my stupidity here. The way I see it, that sen...

- As an antithesis to current animation industry segments. It is an attitude on the production side to pull the act in the age that started from Eva. So, according to that rumor... this Eva remake is basically an anti-Eva? If that's true, it'll surely be interesting... However, I can see ma...

Am I the only one who isn't excited about this? Don't you all love when things end for good? Unlike adolescent bands who never know when to end the songs, always stretching them longer and longer. Until it bores. I suppose I'm just looking at it from another point of view. The NGE serie...

I'm praying for a sequel... It doesn't need to use the old main cast, and could happen centuries after the original series... But I want it!

The AT Field (in my opinion) conforms (relatively) to the shape of what is generating it, until it is expanded. Take Unit 01 in episode 12 for example, when it is running to catch the falling Angel Sahaquiel, it activates its field while on foot. When it stops beneath the Angel, it ...

Aim for the Top! 2
DieBuster

the previous series was:

I'll wait for the later episodes to judge this show. I have to say that I enjoyed the first episode of Diebuster more than the first of Gunbuster, but both were nothing special. Gunbuster only became really good after episode 3, so, Diebuster still has much time to catch up with Gunbuster.

Is there any proof that AT fields are 360 barriers?

It is a rather silly question, and I'm almost sure that they are a 360 barrier, but, could anyone give me any proof?

Strangely, the tea scene was one of the "original" manga scenes that annoyed me the most. Faring slightly worse than that with me is the Ritsuko "It was just a joke!" scene. Dear gawd... I'm not a fan of the tea scene(this topic was created just because I was curious abo...

:? http://www.evamonkey.com/writings_shea04.php SEE?! I told you that that article implied that Eva was a rip-off of Gundam! Did you believe me? No. I've never talked about the intention of the author, but the article itself does imply it. But that structure is flawned in many ways, it's not...
