Re: So where did all the battleships come from?
It's probably fair to say that Wille has used the ships that are available for the needs that they had, and particularly with the personnel that they had available. There's simply no global civilisation left to keep tankers/freighters/etc operational, so if you're going to keep anything floating ab...

Re: How do you feel about NTE? + Rank the movies!
This is a tough one. I think I will have to re-watch 3.0+1.0 a few more times, and possibly marathon all 4 movies in 1 session to REALLY nail it down. Currently I think I have to go with: #1 1.11 It didn't break any new ground, but it was a lovingly and perfectly executed re-build (as the title says...

Re: Loop Theory (I Really was born to meet you)
Why is being right about this so important? If all you're interested in doing is winning the argument maybe you should stop using DISCUSSION forums and go and yell memes at people on /a/ Sometimes it's just nice to be proven right when some people have been rather condescendingly dismissing your po...

Re: 11th Angel
I think the 11th was killed during the time-skip, that's simple enough and just fine. If, one day, Khara decides to make a Evangelion: 2.5, we will certainly see it. Anno is apparently keeping the idea open but on the back-burner, as he is still Eva burned out at this point. I'd REALLY love to see ...

Re: So where did all the battleships come from?
The guns on an Iowa-class are much too slow to be particularly useful in the massed-enemy battles in 3+1. Each gun (and they have 9 across the three turrets) takes roughly 30 seconds to reload, and their tracking / elevation rates are also not particularly quick - these are 80 year old weapons even...

The little things that made you laugh in 3.0+1.0
For me, 3 in particular stand out. The first being how the Mk4444 units literally "goose-step" into Paris the same way the Nazis did after the surrender of France in World War 2. The second being the way the Black Moon just casually bulldozes Mount Fuji on it's way to Calvary Base. It wasn...

Re: I don’t understand when Third Impact Occurred?!
PS: This would likely have a more clear explanation in the original plans for Q movie (where Shinji wouldn't appear). And hopefully, Anno will shed more light into those events What interests me in this interview is what Anno says here: So, and for myself, at this point I don't feel that I have the...

So where did all the battleships come from?
One of the things I found interesting in both 3.33 and most especially 3.0+1.0 is the insane amount of military ships there are, especially battleships. There are apparently so many battleships that they can be simply plated with the type of armour used to hold off the blast of Ramiel in 1.11 and us...

Re: So Rebuild is sequel of NGE/EoE or not?
To be fair, we know the coffins exist in 1.11. That seems to be how Kaworu was created in the current life (at least). In Kaworu's Instrumentality, the coffins seems to be a symbolic representation from the eternal loop he is trapped. Now, although Kaworu is trapped in a loop, we don...

For those who mocked me and others for saying the world of Eva was cyclic and repeating:
HA HA! I know, it's petty, immature AF and I haven't even been active on these boards for ages now, but I still remember the fairly bitter and insulting comments everyone who believed that all the previous clues in 1 2 and 3 revealed that the universe was constantly re-cycling and replaying...

Re: Thrice Upon A Humanity: The Deep Lore of NTE [WIP]
In Q, after the main shaft is destroyed by Eva 13, New Nerv HQ remains exactly where it is, and therefore must be levitating. (It can be further argued that the shaft wouldn’t be able to support the pyramid’s weight in the first place and in fact it was secretly levitating the entire time.) What do...

Re: Loop Theory (I Really was born to meet you)
Well, see, the Kaworu lines aren't enough to justify any sorta loop theory or time-bending stuff. Oh without a doubt. There is much more, including how Neo-NERV looks like EoE's invasion of NERV by SEELE and UN forces took place during the resumed 3rd Impact but had a radically different ending the...

Re: Loop Theory (I Really was born to meet you)
Beat to death for certain. But the last time I was active on this forum it was still being fairly loudly both analyzed and shouted down, and I really don't believe the theory has been discredited. Until Khara writing staff or Anno himself firmly state yes or no (assuming the final movie dosen't do s...

Re: CG and Rebuild
For my own part, I always thought the initial 'dropping bombs' angel looking like a big blobby jellyfish in space with an eye was by far the weakest angel in NGE, right up there with the video game alien' that sat in stationary orbit mind-raping Asuka while waiting to be finished off with a surface-...

Re: The Curse of Eva - Can It Be Broken?
I don't think so. It is of course a fantasy story and anything can happen, but by it's own internal logic, I don't see instant ageing happening. Age suppression lifted when the 'curse of Eva' is lifted makes much more sense. Under what circumstances would that happen though? Assuming the 'curse' is ...

Well shit. I had to come back just to comment on this. NemZ is one of the few people on this forum that I would name-recognize instantly. He had that much of an impact, he was always interesting to read, and his graphic art skills were superb. 38 is FAR too goddamn young to die with such prospects s...

Re: Xenogears
I was working at EA Canada when Xenogears was released. Because of a recent agreement, a number of Squaresoft games for the PlayStation were released under a partnership between Square and Electronic Arts, Square/EA so I was able to get copies of games for production price at the company store. I to...

Re: Honda: 3.0+1.0 is being made right now
Not to say it'd be nice if we had some type of teaser, but it's being worked on is always good to know. News of this movie would be great traffic to the site again. In the future I'd image to see all kinds of EGF users popping back up. Including myself, but I've just been busy. Oh for certain. It b...

Re: Evangelion 3+1, No 2016 Release?
The Japanese word for "hope" is dropped multiple times in a thematic fashion throughout the entire NGE series, and its last installment had an ending less than happy. I'm having a hard time remembering if "hope" was ever mentioned at all in NTE. If it was it doesn't seemed to be...

Re: Evangelion Questions
Welcome to the frustrated Eva Geeks Forums! Just off the cuff regarding your initial questions, I wouldn't expect KST to play in Final, Khara has already shown that they are going with new music and not old when it comes to vocal arrangements. I wouldn't expect much of what happens in 25/26 to have ...
