How Not To Behave --Staff  SPOILER: Show
Yeah, fuck that forum. It's already filled with the usual suspects, and the chances of anyone who hasn't drank the socialist kool-aid joining are basically nil. Fuck it, I'm out. Enjoy your leftist circlejerk.

I'd rather Ramiel got made into, you know, an actual drill. Or a microwave. Or a speaker. Or all three.

Re: An alternative Serious Discussion

Personally I think that this community just isn't up to the task of serious debates and that any project to try and accomplish that is doomed to fail miserably. But by all means, go ahead if you think it can work.

Re: FML general thread [8]

So what I thought was just a little rash or maybe a spider bite or something like that overnight turned into half my foot being swollen and red. Last I got checked I don't have diabetes but I do have a family history there so I'm not about to screw around with weird foot problems. So yay, skipping ...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I'm currently the faculty advisor for an anime club and it was veering off dangerously into this territory until I encouraged the patrician sociopath VP to set up a very clear social-hierarchal hegemony in which he -- and if you want to follow this example, you (as presumably the well-adjusted one,...

Re: Official Departures Thread [2]

I'm seriously considering taking a departure from this hellhole. I know full well that if I stay I'm only going to do something everyone will regret, and I don't particularly want to actually get banned, if only to deny certain individuals who will not be named the satisfaction. On the other hand, I...

Re: Which anime of today will be considered future classics?

You're a complete asshole How very observant of you. While there are a handful of people here who might agree with you, I would argue that the simple fact that many more can get a whole lot more out of EoE shows that this summary is wrong, and that those who espouse it are missing what is really th...

Re: Which anime of today will be considered future classics?

Only real points of similarity are that both films are pretentious drivel that ruined beautiful endings to great series. Fixed that for you. Seriously. EoE was Anno venting his depression by taking a gigantic shit on the characters, with everyone behaving like a brain-damaged moron, and culminating...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I helped set up a college anime club, only for it to immediately become populated by mumbling turbo-autists and dub-only peasants. On top of that, the member of staff facilitating the thing has basically ruled that we're only watching dubbed stuff now in the name of "accessibility". And gi...

Re: [CYOA] Gendo's Miserable Quest to Ruin Everything

You run the options over in your head, and decide upon tying a NERV-branded paperweight to the end of a coil of rope, producing a fairly lethal-feeling meteor hammer. Sure, it may not be the greatest weapon ever conceived by mankind, but it's almost certainly enough to bring the pain to the clones. ...

Re: Which anime of today will be considered future classics?

I'll third the suggestion of Madoka, not because it's a "grimdark version of Mahou Shoujo/the Peanutbutterandjellyon of Magical Girls" or whatever (that's been done many times before, at least if Tines is to be believed) but because IMO it's a pretty touching and impeccably executed traged...

Re: TMB's super happy fun Eva model-building adventures

Woohoo! The prodigal son returns! I wish I was that good at scratchbuilding. I'm OK-ish at sculpting organic bits and pieces but I'm hopeless at the precise cutting needed for scratchbuilding with Styrene. Doesn't help that for some reason, even with a really sharp scalpel blade I struggle to cut th...

Re: Final Fantasy series

I'm a bit confused as to why they feel the need to overhaul FF7's battle system; the original system was absolutely fine. Really the only non-cosmetic elements that need significant changes are the clunky movement controls and a shift to X for select instead of O. Unless it's a case of "It'll p...

Overwatch!

So I recently bought Overwatch on a whim, and I have to say...I love it. For those of you who have been living under a rock, Overwatch is an FPS/MOBA...thing where you play as a variety of silly heroes and shoot the living daylights out of each other. There's Reinhardt the German hammer-wielding rob...
