Hello again, after a very long absence. I'm only back to say that I've given up. And to vent. I've grown so apathetic over this thing during the time that, no matter how petty it is, I'm content with being one of those "500" people that just complain about a thing in the wi...

AilesGrises: I'm not sure why you keep reading "this is the most important element" as "this is the only element". I don't see anyone saying that Shinji's relationships with Gendo and Kaworu weren't important, or that they had no contribution to his breakdown. Bu...

If your views differ significantly from an existing Wiki page, you should consider writing an entirely new article and linking to it from the original rather than replacing anything. (Given this thread, the Shinji/Asuka page is an obvious example.) Well, I think that depends a lot on what t...

Well, Bagheera, what can I say. Follow your own advice? I'm only familiar with various of your posts I've stumbled upon on the Rebuild of Evangelion section (and this previous one), and you come of as very hostile most of the time (including right now). But since we're bo...

I will shove all my replies in this post, please look for it here (also, like the op I wrote it in a rush, I apologize for that): That's what happens when there's only 5 people writing those articles and 500 people complaining about them. But what's closer to reality, is that it ...

Something tells me this "place" is not physical.

shipping has no place on the wiki

I only joined the site with Rebuild 3.0 since various dumps of new info that weren't available on other places were happening here, and it's a generally interesting place but, what's with the blatant Asuka+Shinji shipping bullshit? There are reeeaaaaalllllyyyy creepy vibes through a lot ...

Watch the scene again. He had abundant time to think about it, and most of it wasn't spent in battle. You know, I just re-watched the scene twice, and I have no clue what you're talking about... You sure you're not pulling this abundance of time out of your own pockets? For the entirety...

Just to tackle something "lighter" for a change and leave the ongoing grimmer discussion rest for a while: No crossover physically, to be sure - but there's a lot more to general musicianship than merely being able to read music. I'm speaking from my own personal experience so take...

What I took from that (and connecting it to stuff from the original, specifically EoE and Keel's remains) is that SEELE is formed by, in plainest terms, humans who went full-cyborg. Basically brains in jars. Or here, (artificial?) brains inside monoliths (notice the patterns ...

Or how Kaworu magically removed Shinji's collar....and why did he have to put it on himself instead of just throwing it the trash? I think Kaworu is being pretty explicit about it - that is in essence, Shinji's burden (and his punishment). He (Shinji) MUST carry that burden....

He only had one pants-on-head-retarded moment and that was when he wouldn't even listen to Kaworu telling him to stop I've been sitting on this thing for a while now and I'm not so sure anymore. Look at it like this - Shinji is tense, and Shinji is desperate, in the most unadulterated s...

And really, of all possible criticisms of Q, "cashgrabbing" is the one single thing that certainly doesn't apply. This is a movie that flat out does not do what the audience wants and includes mordern artsy montages and cyberpunk-ish philosophy talk. (the emphasis was mine) Ex...

I would like Anno to finally throw the towel and stop with his preachiness, i.e. let Shinji embrace instrumentality. But obviously, that won't happen. And as such the Rebuilds will always be a good but pretentious remake and an effortful money-grab. But I'll enjoy them anyway...

Didn't get the chance to see it yet (will watch it sometime in december unless something intervenes) but I couldn't help myself and nosed a lot through the various sources of spoilers. And I am pleased. This is the Evangelion I hateー the Evangelion I hate to love. And it's...

The general feedback pleases me greatly. Eva is still Eva. You should've known this would happen (because indeed, it's Eva. And more, it was even mentioned in one of the recent trailers, the one in which Misato narrates "the boy will awake, the boy will retaliate, the boy will despa...
