Re: Fate/Stay Night, Unlimited Adaptation Works

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Rumble Grumble". If you're talking about the scene you described in your spoiler above, there's an equivalent scene in the VN though its played very, very differently.

Re: Fate/Stay Night, Unlimited Adaptation Works

What I like about Heaven's Feel is that if you're going into it while feeling "Ugh, why should I care about Sakura ", the general bitterness of her character hits a lot harder because (HF3 spoilers I guess?) people feeling that way about her is precisely why she's so fucking mad at eve...

Re: Kara no Kyoukai

So I was gifted this boxset for Christmas last month since everyone that knows me knows I'm a huge Fate nerd and I've been wanting to get into the rest of Type-Moon content. I really, really liked all the movies except the last one. The Epilogue felt incredibly weak and was kind of waiting for it t...

Re: The Vision of Escaflowne.

The Escaflowne movie at least has some very gorgeous animation (Something the TV series wasn't exactly a slouch in to begin with), so I think its worth watching for that aspect at least. The story itself just seems kind of underdeveloped. It is kind of interesting that it had some radically differen...

Is Fritz Lang's later Hollywood stuff generally any good?

I liked Metropolis and M but wasn't sure about whether his stuff he made after coming to America was worth taking the effort to find.

So I've recently started watching Unicorn, and while its great, Mineva being such a central character in it raises an interesting question... What in the hell was Tomino originally planning to do with that character? She's one of a handful of people to be relevant to the plots of 0079, Zeta,...

I thought Indianapolis wasn't going to have any showings?

Unless someone like Keystone Art gets a screening at the last minute.

I've read that the the EW version of Wing Zero is literally supposed to be the exact same mech with no changes from the end of Wing TV. That Wing Zero has actual wings is a just a lame stylistic choice I guess. Anyways, I just finished watching Season 2 of 00 and I'm not seeing what is suppo...

I really hope there's a version of Akira out there where Kaneda's name is written as "Canada" and then complains aboot Tetsuo being such a hoser. Really though, this movie has some fantastic animation. Story might be a bit incoherent, but there of plenty of better films that make l...

Oh yeah I wanted to see Before Midnight too, but held off since I hadn't seen the previous two films in the trilogy. You can knock both of them off in a day. The second movie isn't even 90 minutes long. EDIT: Double checking, Before Sunrise clocks in at 105 minutes, and Before Sunset is a m...

Heck, even some reviewers wanted to stop the film's release in case it starts riots. And it's kind of racist of them to assume that black people would become so engulfed by their inner Afrikan rage that they would then go out and murder the nearest white people just because they saw violenc...

All the characters were assholes at the end except Da Mayor. That was the point. That nobody is immune to being racist, being victims of racism, or committing acts of violence.

What was the context of the statement?

Because I know Hollywood had a lot of Jewish heads of studios at least back in the day, but that doesn't mean there's like a "Zionist conspiracy" or anything.
