Any suggestions as to the significance of those lines then? They kinda stuck out to me as one of the more important pieces of dialogue watching this the first time through, but I still haven't been able to discern a meaning, really.

Returning to the topic at hand....... Looking at the dialogue, I could see where it's possible that Wille finds it necessary to put Chokers on all pilots. Just look at Asuka's dialogue: 00:28:10 {Asuka} All this fuss over just one person. 00:28:12 {Asuka} In this world, we don't have the...

I had to go to work immediately after I watched it. ......I daydreamed a lot. For real though, I watched it with a lot of artifacts and miscoloring (mostly because of the way my blu-ray player handles .mkv files) and I still thought it was the most gorgeous movie I've ever seen. Like lit...

Is there much of an audible difference between the two codecs? Not to the extremely untrained ear. FLAC is audio perfection, completely lossless. AAC is about 256 kbps. There is only a difference really in the audio range, where FLAC goes up to 22kHz and AAC cuts off at about 20. So, tl;dr, no, the...

Most likely, as FLAC is a lot more dense than AAC in terms of encoding. Speaking of which, has anyone tried to watch the 1080p on a blu-ray player approved for playback of video files? I'm waiting for my dl to finish and I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I have a Panasonic that is able to ...

So, any thoughts on Angels in 3.0? I think the similarities between Gaghiel and the new Third Angel in 2.0 could have interesting connotations for Angel appearances in the new film (yes, I believe there is a purposeful connection between those two).

Any thoughts on possible Mari and Shinji interaction? I think 2.0's parachute scene was a bit of a prelude to more expanded dialogue exchange later.

Thanks! And possibly, I think Shamshel keeps her in pretty good company for right now, along with the ferocious piano from Super Mario 64.

Thanks! I'm not too crafty, even though I try to be, and this was just on a whim so I didn't expect it to turn out too well. It's just a standard blub-nightlight with transparent red paper.

Ahem, Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works 85-92"... Personal favorite album.

...Or Aphex Twin's "Classics". I just prefer to think of it as being SAW's cover.

Also the simple cultural differences I feel could make a large difference too, especially seeing how NGE's use of Judeo-Christian icons and symbols were largely misinterpreted here in the US.

I am making a nightlight based off of Chairman Keel's Seele monolith. Will post pictures when finished.

Well, to put my question in context, there's the scene of Gendo shooting Ritsuko. In the sub (and also possibly the dub, I haven't watched it), it's shown as "I truly...", but in the literal translation I've read, it says "In reality..." or "Really......

Essentially what I meant to ask was that... would being Japanese-fluent enable a person to understand some of the characters and/or plot better because they can take things from the script directly instead of hearing something that's been translated through various mediums. Lol, I thought there ...

Hi, just so everyone knows (as though it's not going to be immediately obvious), this is my first post on this forum and I wanted to say that the website as a whole has provided me with a much clearer understanding of NGE's plot, as well as interesting theories about the grey areas o...
