I still have my original VHS recorded tapes, DVDs, first copy of EoE...So it isn't ruined. Its just less interesting to me at the moment.

Im not quite in the same mindset as the first time I watched EoE, but I feel...hollow and unusual. I am however not surprised as I have learned that you never get what you expect when it comes to Eva.. EDIT after a night of reading novice script translations, cleanly written and honest fan reviews, ...

Living near a military base, airport, and 2 hydro electric dams (lots of concrete) there are a lot of sounds, vehicles, and armed personnel remind me of Eva's infrastructure.

Gendo actually getting what he wants...that would defineltly be a different tangent for the series.

If I had to describe EoE to someone those would probably be the words I would use. The original broadcast series in itself up to the last few episodes were rather light hearted until it grew close to the end.

Look at the aftermath of 9/11, everyone was in constant fear of a terrorist attack. Im positive that something even more massive than what I described ...
