when you singlehandedly made everybody in your school (only like 50+ people) know what evangelion is through Shinji's beginning scene in End of Evangelion.

I think because they spent that time synchronizing with each other that in a fight they would instinctively know exactly what attack the other was doing and block it, causing the fight to last until one gets tired, probably Shinji.
