Deep deep strangeness in the Second Impact footage scene

The famous and visionary inventor Nikola Tesla had a great fascination with the numbers 3, 6, and 9. A noted quote of his is, "If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe." During the first part of the scene where Seele, off camera, is wat...

Detail from Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0

The face of an Angel (Lillith?) can quickly be seen when Shinji loses consciousness during his first battle. If looked at frame by frame you'll see it within the LCL bubbling, towards the upper right, before his train dream.

Adam's wings spreading sound effect is the same as sounds of Saturn and the dark side of the Moon

The sound effect used when Adam's "wings" spread during Second Impact is very similar to the sounds (electromagnetic vibrations from planetary environments turned into sound) of the dark side of the Moon and Saturn released years later. Clip from anime at 1:45 (please watch rest of clip in...

Here's a couple. There's a bridge over a canyon and there's a lady driving her car over the bridge. The bridge collapses and the lady in the car goes tumbling down the chasm, it's horrible. Rescue workers go down and get her out. They pull her out and it's a miracle. She doesn't have any injuries, n...

Computer: virtual memory setting

I've looked around online but can't find a clear answer to a question I have regarding virtual memory. Recently upgraded my physical memory to 1 1/4 GB(I know this actually translates to 1280 MB). My system is designed for a max amount of 2 GB (2048 MB). Now my question is sh...

Cool. Didn't ever think there was any problem with it, just never had this discussion with any other collectors. Actually only have one other friend who's into figs/toys but he's more into dark stuff like Misfits and Chaos comics. Now that I think of it he did have one, a female vampire ...

Motoko Kusanagi Figure

Just looked over my toy collection recently and decided that maybe the Mcfaralne Toys GITS Motoko Kusanagi just doesn't go in with the rest of my stuff anymore. Lots of cables and wires. Might put it up for sale. Also got me to wondering if it's "odd" for a dude to have a female fi...

Thanks for the pointers. I'm all for more articulation but I want it for display and at least reasonable poseability. One set of hands is nice-not that there's anything wrong with multiple sets. As far as the Lance of Longinus having a flat part, I can look past that. Again the info is much ...

Yamato Eva Unit 00

Thinking about buying one of the metallic Yamato Eva Unit 00's but can't find a single review anywhere-just the same couple of pics. Can anyone provide me a link or give their thoughts on it.

Not sure of how I got wind of it but knew to pick up issues in random comic book stores by luck during mid 90's(Book Two issues 1-3). I'm sure I hadn't seen any video yet because I remember being intrigued by the blurb in the ad for VHS collection on the back inner cover of issue...

I remember way back when I discovered this show, that it wasn't super popular but it was super good. From what little I did hear of it I at least expected something good but was blown away by what I saw. I think if people are jaded over it now it's because it has a large fanbase/notoriety. I...

I think I should clarify that in my original question I didn't intend to mean "destined" as in the cosmic or universal fate sense. I meant it as was Adam going to wake up from underneath the ice somehow without any human tampering or would he have remained dormant if never discovered. ...

Was Adam destined to wake up?

Was Adam destined to awaken eventually or would he have remained forever dormant with the Lance of Longinus if never discovered in Antarctica? Were the Dead Sea Scrolls predicting his eventual awakening or are they just saying what would happen in case he awakens(or is awakened rather)? I...

Yeah, I see what everyone's saying and I agree now that the soul too is scientific and not mystical-used by both the FAR and humans. Not a situation of science coaxing something mystical but highly advanced technology through and through. Seele knows that all these things are alien science in es...

With regards to Kenshin Sepiroth and CJD's discussion-interesting views on Seele's interpretations of the FAR's science. Maybe Seele does realize these things are of an advanced science, but in relation to the religions in this vein of the masses they of course differ. An angel in the cl...
