2 or 3 inch Nerv logo Sticker?

Hey guys I'm getting a Macbook Air in a few weeks and I want to cover up the illuminated apple logo on the case. I bought it cause it was cheaper than the thin and light windows notebooks, not because I want to be a walking, glowing brand advertisement. What better way to cover it than with a NE...

Also, Guil Lunde does have an extremely metal name, but he was your favorite voice actor in the original series? Not Spike Spencer, Allison Keith, Tristan MacAvery, Amanda Winn Lee, or Aaron Krohn, but Guil Lunde ? Really? Not that he was bad or anything, I just can't imagine him being someone&...

I've got a lot of time on my hands at the moment. I've got 16 hours at university this semester, I don't like video games, my girlfriend is on exchange for another few months and apparently I've become one of those guys who pretty much puts dates before mates. So I started thinking w...

I wish there was an emoticon for hugging it out. Ah well, agree to disagree.

How lame is Rebuild though?

I was just googling to see what the English dub actors from the original series looked like, and came across Aaron Krohn - Ryoji Kaji himself - performing Shakespeare's As You Like It . Apparently he's a full time stage actor now. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4053/4292844205_b2d853bb69.jpg...

Some excellent examples of that phenomenon.

For those that have seen the 2.22 dub: how's Fuyutski? Guil Lunde not only has an excellent name, but was my favourite voice actor from the original series. I'd be interested to see if Rebuild Fuyutski is any good.

If you haven't seen EOE, you know the original series quite well. I'm a cynic, so I tend to see EOE as a moneymaking enterprise more than "no seriously this is what I wanted to do all along". I know, budget and time constraints, but still, I think the TV series is sufficient for me...

I long for the days of NGE, when characters told us exactly what their thoughts were, directly to the viewer, for two episodes straight. You just don't see that subtlety in Rebuild. You saying this made me think you were referring to narrative subtlety, to which my reply was meant to indicate t...

Those monologues, quite obviously, were open to interpretation. How do I know this? They're still debated on this site at least weekly.

I can't take any product seriously when it contains "beast mode", 200% more fan service and Mari IrrelevantPairOfTits Makinami.

I see what you mean, but I don't think I was clear in my previous post - I certainly wasn't trying to be disparaging in any way to this community. Rather, trying to delineate between academic deconstruction and fan deconstruction. I guess my example would be discussions such as "Which E...

And once again, everyone is preventing their own intrepretations as objective, thus confusiving the OP. Woo. I'm not confused - well, of course I am, but much less so than before I started this thread. I get that this is Evangelion, and I've done a lot of work on media and film theory so I ...

As myself, I have currently only shown Eva to my family members, and here were their reactions. My dad really liked it (Rebuild 1.11, that is), called it an interesting story, and apparently really related to Gendo. Uuuh... Dude. If he ever asks you to do any "chores" for him, run...
