Re: NTE as a clear message plus embellishment
Does anyone feel the same? I still like it, of course, and it makes me feel better believing this and not that there's actually stuff there that I'm not seeing. I definitely saw the movie like that too. I will even go as far as taking a step further that the fact that a lot of the technobabble has ...

Re: If rebuild of Evangelion had been an anime or OVA series
I think if they were or a TV anime or OVA series you'd have people asking " What if this story was instead told through a series of movies " and if this had been five movies people would be asking " But what if they had made a sixth movie to fill in the gaps ". What if there was...

Re: 3.0 + 1.0 Reactions
People: Shinji is never going to get back in the robot, beat up his dad, and save the girl. Anno would never do that. He subverts expectations. Anno: I will now proceed to do the thing I purportedly will never do, thus subverting expectations. People: No not like that Well it was a subversion, even...

Re: LONG HAIRED Rei IS NOW CANON CELEBRATION THREAD
My reading of Kensuke was that Asuka lacked parents and Kensuke stepped in like the parental figure she desired and needed. Asuka often belittles Shinji for being irresponsible and not as useful as Kensuke is. This is further illustrated by Kensuke popping out of the doll that accompanied her throug...

Re: 3.0 + 1.0 Reactions
I'll keep my reaction short. The movie was ok, I thought it lived up to my expectations by not trying too hard. I liked that they tried new things, the mocapped CGI animation in the Climax was a bit weird, but it kinda fit the tone. https://i.imgur.com/vM4wazT.png ALSO CAN WE PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO...

Re: Trading Card Games
N-N-NECRO POST !!!! http://i.imgur.com/sOSB2Rk.jpg I got back into playing Magic Limited and Pauper (Only Commons Constructed) events semi-seriously. The Pauper format is fun because it only allows common rarity cards and a competitive deck is around $20-$30 and Tier 1 Decks are maximum 50 because ...

Re: Currently playing 4: Guns of the Patriots
Currently 60 hours in playing Witcher 3 ... The nuanced and meaningful social interactions between Geralt and everyone else are definitely a highlight for me. The way it doesnt railroad you and how some small but character- and immersion-building innocous choices can rear their head hours later in ...

Re: Computer Stupidities
Yeah, W10 is a fucking dumpster fire, also Cortana mysteriously reinstalled herself after decrapping my W10 using a script I found on github. Also seems to have problems with Wi-Fi but that's not a Windows exclusive issue. One of the scary extras is that telemetry actually learns your typing pattern...

Got a Kiev 3a (Soviet Contax RF copy, pictured) from my uncle and then bought a Zorki 4 for about 25-30 US on ebay shortly thereafter.
