Re: do you think anno would have made EoE if the backlash hadn't been as bad?

I think EoTV left a lot of people confused and frustrated which pretty much made sure something was going to be made. But if there was not any backlash and some kind of EoE was going to be made, I doubt it would have been the same spitful, up-yours EoE we know. I see the EoE alt ending as Anno liste...

If you try to find a clear-cut rational and logical events unfolding, you will get full of "somehow". So I made my mind : this series is entirely abstract, it doesn't even remotely work to think on the material basis of the Eva world. This isn't at all sound SF like Gundam Astray....

They always planned to implant one, they just didn't want Gendo doing things ahead of schedule (they didn't know Yui was working toward her own goals at the time). Note that Seele's plan had several contingency elements, and that not all are needed to do what they wanted to do. ...

No, quite the opposite. If Seele had had their way Unit 01 would have become a vessel for the combined souls of humanity, but with the way things actually unfolded Unit 01 had nothing to do with 3I apart from finishing what Rei/Lilith started after the latter died. I'm pretty sure Shinj and Uni...

I realize this is a tad off topic, but am I the only who thinks Yui is crazy, evil, manipulative bitch? I don't think she's evil, but I prefer to see her as a strange, skewed and morally questionable character. I doubt anno intended her to ever be seen as such. A desire to blame someone other...

On one hand, yeah sticking to the source material isn't going to go uncommented upon in todays interconnected age. On the other hand, should you really be so eager to throw two of the better known Asian and Black superheroes out with the bathwater? It's always a double edged sword. Changing...

The other day I watched "The Death Of Superman Lives" the 2015 documentary on the canceled late ninties movie production "Superman Lives" with had Nicolas Cage as superman and would've been directed by Tim Burton. It was actually really interesting and at times disturbing to ...

Absolutely nothing in the movie suggests that this is the case. We don't even know exactly what he's responsible for, and we also don't know if anyone outside of WILLE or NERV even know that he's responsible for it. The audience knows and really that's all that matters. Unless t...

@ mehdi_saada and evanescenteõndine: You two sound like you have that DaVinchi Code/Fpendulum/Voynich manuscript/Money Pit Syndrome that some fans get after watching evangelion. I remember when I got that. I was in the librarylooking up angels after watching Evangelion. I was amazed that even thoug...

I am finding myself more and more interested in seeing Leto's take on Joker. I'm not realy interested in seeing the joker, but the suicide squad plot itself makes it a unique superhero movie. I probably will not be seeing it, the animated Suicide squad film was alright I suppose, but not en...

Thunder Road from the movie Explorers

http://natnotnate.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/explorers-thunder-road.jpg

There's something wonderous about a cubbylike spaceship built with tvscreen windows, a trashcan, and other junk put together by three kids.

Watch it with the omnislashing. -NemZ If you're fighting for the survival of humanity you are probably not evil. EoE-Shinji really is the only one out of the three Shinji's that may be able to be called evil. There is the obvious stuff and the whole "having a breakdown and lashing out ...

I think the main issue is that at the time, the Amazons being a perfect society of bondage lesbians who send the greatest among them to act as an ambassador to men was revolutionary and subversive but 70 or whatever years later it's dumb considering how society has advanced and changed and maki...

Main Problem i have with the more violent and angry Amazons is in the inevitable stories where Diana has to defend her island and sisters then i find myself kind of wanting them to get whats coming to them. You're meant to route WW really, not the amazons. Have her leading the charge. Maybe eve...

Shinji represents bad tendencies in us, the viewers, to demonstrate how these tendencies can bring us down, and to encourage us to see how we can attempt to counter them. I could buy that. A "don't be like this guy" kind of thing. He's still meant to be seen as something negative ...

Power wise I don't think will be very difficult, just have her power set wise be similar to the gods in particularly Ares in say wraith of the titans. I just hope they don't go overboard with her and make her a Magic superman with a vagina. Amazons being irrationally bloodthirsty towards me...

I don't think Shinji's evil, but he's clearly meant to be portrayed as something negative. But as for whether we the audience are supposed to see him as evil? Of course not. That's not Anno's intent in the slightest. He clearly wants us to see Shinji as an empathetic victim, not ...

Wolverine pretty much turkey slapped every fan of Cyclops in X-men 3, his fans are due for some slapping.

Cracked.com talks about why Superman is having public relations problems. I finally had the balls to watch the BvS trailers a few weeks ago, and after reading more about the movie I'm actually excited about it. I was worried that they were going to make Superman simply another enemy for Batman ...

I like that. At the end of the day Wolverine is a character for 13 year old boys, not manchildren that need to see cgi blood flying everywhere. I'm really only a superman fanboy adn don't really know much about Wolverine, but I always got the impression that his stories were the more intens...
