Godzilla: Minus One

In a sense a modern take on classic origins, coupled with post-war destruction and a country trying to get back on its feet.

Re: Do you think James Cameron could direct a live action NGE

Yeah, it can be done. The question is whether it's going to sell, to recoup all the costs of production.

Re: Do you think James Cameron could direct a live action NGE

But that's the question, isn't it? Could Cameron break that pattern of mediocrity (besides the fact that listening to purists is in general rarely a good idea) Some fans are chasing this pipe dream of a live-action adaptation for two decades, and I personally prefer to leave it as it is. If I know ...

Suffice to say, Oshi no Ko is devastating in its frankness when it comes to showing all sides of showbiz, the emotions of its participants, and at the same time has its hilarious moments.

Re: FML general thread [8]

Decided to pass by for the first time in a few years. Suffice to say Reddit's karma system only manages to create more stress and discord, and it's so tiresome trying to worry one's reputation constantly while on that platform. However, with Reddit being mismanaged with its owner clearly aiming to p...

Re: Do you think James Cameron could direct a live action NGE

To answer the question, and given just how adaptations are mostly misses than hits, and are usually unpopular with purists... no, it's unlikely.

Re: FML general thread [8]

Am still coping. But it does not help for me psychologically that my sister -- a genuine Karen -- decided to vote for a shitty presidential candidate next year, who might as well destroy everything that was fought for, because she thinks it's the safest option. And at the dining table, of all places...

Sorry for the necro, but someone was asking for the now-gone Mediafire link as well as the Photobucket link, both of them because I just deleted accounts from them out of disgust with their service. Instead I've just uploaded the Tokyo-3 map to Imgur. https://imgur.com/S1njEGH https://i.imgur.com/XX...

Re: The Macross Legacy Thread (Incl. +/DYRL/Zero/Seven/Frontier/Δ)

So my question is, why are the fans treating this as practically the end of the world? I mean, the original show is easily acessable these days. "Accessible" might as well HG's own heavy edits and inserts instead of as originally aired in Japan. For most it feels like the end of the world...

Re: The Macross Legacy Thread (Incl. +/DYRL/Zero/Seven/Frontier/Δ)

I'm glad I don't particularly care for Macross Well, you may have to, it's now part of established history of the industry. Anno spent an early bit part of his anime career helping to put that anime series out into TV in 1982, and so far even did some tribute fanart for it as a way of saying thanks...
