I appreciate how Anno, instead of going all 'George Lucas" on us, he instead will make some scenes exactly the same, or even completely remake the entire shot. There's no "CG Jabba the Hut" feel about it, if you know what I mean. I'd kind of compare (at least the first...

A hero? Shinji? Shinji Ikari ? Why do you need to ask? If he was a hero, the show would be exactly the same as it actually is. Because he is a hero. He's a great hero, the same as most shonen heroes. Because despite what most people think, there really is no definitive shonen hero, they're ...

They didn't plan everything. Second Impact went wrong, multiple Angel attacks went wrong, etc. They simple accommodated and changed their plans to make the best of every situation. That's what humans do. You're right. What I said was actually my initial impression of SEELE, and not what...

I think I worded myself very badly. The only reason this idea came to me was the conversation between Fuyutsuki and Yui that flashes during the climax of EoE: Kouzou Fuyutsuki: When Man created Evangelion, were we trying to create a clone of God ? Yui Ikari: Of course. Humans can only exist on this ...

I kept expecting the term "Nephilim" to show up in the series somewhere. In some Hebrew texts, Nephilim is used to refer to decedents of the forbidden union of human and fallen angel. This term is almost perfect to be slightly distorted and used to refer to the Evas (Or at least Eva 01...

When you are in the middle of trying to write a fanfic that says that the entirety of "The Big O" is a result of Instrumantality.

Don't ask me; I barely know why I'm doing it myself. :headbash:

It should be noted that the Angels and presumably Evas do not have regular DNA molecules, i.e. those consisting of hydrocarbons. Their "DNA" is made of of Particle Wave Matter (PWM) and has only a similar structure and pattern to Human DNA. That is to say, while they are made from...

Either way, I already explained this with the fact that Angels are basically shapeshifters. It doesn't mean they actually progress forward in true development, they're already at a zenith. You could argue that adaptation to combat the Lilim, even if it was only a change in the manifestation...

In EoE when Rei/Lilith's ghostly hand passes through Maya, who abruptly screams for whatever reason that can be discerned. I like to think that the contact completely fucked up her mind in some bizarre way. Maybe GNR contact damages the ego barrier? Either way, the face she makes as she screams...

Pretty late, actually. It's kind of sad: I saw the "Give me a Pepsi!" scene in AMV Hell 3, and asked me much more otaku-ized friend about it. He explained the origin of the scene, and I was instantly interested. --- Two years later, I own the box set, both original movies, Rebuild 1.01...

Allow me to pose a question, this being my first real post on the threads: Would the genetic diversity of the Adam-derived life be stagnant? Without reproduction (at least, reproduction in the sense as defined by humans,) there would be no need for, or even be, evolution. Development of ange...
