Honestly, do what I did and check out Anesthetize Live. It covers all of Fear of a Blank Planet an then there's a good number of songs from across their career. If you're a big old school prog rock fan then check out songs like Prodigal and Dark Matter. Personally I think the best stuff by t...

Oh man has it been a while since I posted around here... Anywho a couple friends of mine have been obsessed with Porcupine Tree for years and they finally convinced me to seriously check them out. I'll admit after listening the new Anesthetize live album I'm hooked. Not sure why it toook me ...

I have always been picky about who I show Eva to. I only show it to people who I think could get a general grasp of what's happening. Because of that tactic I have yet to have anyone hate it after me showing it to them. I am actually quite impressed with my friends as of late, as a large number ...

[con] Anime Iowa

Me and a couple friends are heading to Anime Iowa this year. Anyone else heading over there? I'm hoping the 45 dollar pre-registration will be worth it...

I really don't love or hate mech anime. If the series is entertaining, I can dig it. I find some Gundam stuff beyond boring, but I ended up liking Full Metal Panic. I was never really happy how the mech genre is so universally used. As soon as you throw some robots in: BAM! Its now nothing but m...

Just picked up the 30th anniversary of Judas Priest's British Steel. Came with a DVD from the tour. (During which I saw them) The sound mixing is excellent, and I can't stop watching it!

For me there's two big acts that I want to see really bad this year: Rush -- Time Machine Tour. They're playing ALL of moving pictures. Can't pass it up. (Already got tickets for me and three other people!) Roger Waters -- The Wall live. I've had many dreams of seeing this ep...

By the way, it just hit me. Roger Waters looks a lot like Mr. Fuyutsuki these days. Indeed he does. Man, I wish I could "go to the show" during this tour of his. I mean, to see the spectacle that is The Wall Live would make me ecstatic. Also, I heard a rumor that he tried and tried to get...

Re: Car accidents!

Any reason you like Pontiacs? My current interest is in 49cc scooters. At least in Maryland, they don't require licensing or insurance (they're speed limited to 30 mph). You can get a nice new Yamaha or Honda for under $2,500. And they get over 100 miles to the gallon. I owned bonne...

With the news of Roger Waters' impending 30th Anniversary "Wall" tour, my interest in TWvsE has risen again. Looking at "Waiting for the Worms," I have to admit that the original "megaphone" lyrics are not appropriate for the storyline. What I'm trying to do is...

Car accidents!

Okay, so I totaled my first car (99 Pontiac Benneville SE) in Milwaukee because I wasn't paying attention and ran a red light. A TrailBlazer clobbered my front right quarter panel going like 45-50. It sucked big time, but it was my fault, so I have only myself to be angry at. I was ridin...

Thomas Dolby has released his first studio track in twenty years ; here's the TEDTalk . If you only think about "She Blinded Me with Science" when you hear that name, you should give The Golden Age of Wireless and The Flat Earth a listen. The new remasters sound fantastic. Woah Mark K...

Studied? nah. But respected as something other than "cartoons" by the general population, absolutely.

As the late Rodney Dangerfield would say: "No respect!"
