Re: EvaGeeks Forum Rules & Regulations

I am not surprised to see that this place has continued its way down the downward spiral of oppressive moderation and political witch hunts since I left over 5 years ago. Remember that real life friend of Xard's who posted only in off-topic? Yeah, that was me. Absolutely spontaneously and secretly b...

Re: NemZ Has Passed Away

The last time I posted anything on this site may have been years ago, but this news weighs heavily on my heart. Rest in peace, NemZ.

I just signed a deal about purchasing my first ever apartment. My. Own. Bloody. Apartment. I may not be able to move into it before midsummer, but it's pretty awesome to be the owner of my own apartment. Who knows, I may even spend most of my life in it.

Having given up on the second Gabriel Knight (due to the FMV/VMD style and silly acting), I dedicated myself to completing Moebius: Empire Rising at the very least. I pre-ordered it before its release and now I have learned that I shouldn't buy just anything - at the very least pre-order...

The director is pretty famous as a music video director, and it is obvious he has mainly worked on short productions that focus on flashy visuals. I don't think he would be that good with full feature length - it's a common problem with directors who move from music videos to film.

Gemini Rue turned out to be a slightly disappointing point-and-click adventure. Published by the same company that delivered the brilliant Blackwell series, Gemini Rue is set in a sci-fi world with very heavy noir overtones. The best things about the game are the gloomy atmosphere and the cyberpunk...

^ Honey & Clover won't disappoint if you keep watching it. It's a really mature and rewarding story that makes many other similar series pale in comparison.

I just completed Dreamfall: The Longest Journey . Now that was one hell of a cliffhanger ending with a scenario that seems downright impossible for the protagonists. If I had played the game back when it was released and would have known that it would take 8 years for the story to continue, I would ...

Since when did this thread turn into a place where posts get analyzed like Tarkovsky films and posters get lectured as if they didn't know any better?

I'm not that convinced by Yuri Kuma Arashi yet. The humor is unmistakably Ikuhara, but it is quite bizarre and over the top even by his standards. As for the writing in general, it still has all the possibility to turn into a disaster although it has had a couple of solid standalone episodes.

^ I did find those details when I googled for the atomic bomb interpretation, but even then I find it only bizarre. It's not that the hints do not make sense, but the very idea of including such a specific theme strikes me odd. Even more so when it is purposefully hidden as a cryptic easter egg.

Did you know that the story was a metaphor of the discovery of the A Bomb? Wh-wh.....what? I had to google this interpretation because I had no idea about it and all I can say that if it was the main purpose of the story it didn't really work at all since I didn't pick up the references. It...

After letting Papers Please be on the backburner for almost a year I completed it a week or two ago. It truly offers a wealth of story with tiny details enrichening the imagination. The recurring characters are very memorable and the unique subject is not used just as a gimmick - the gameplay is rea...

Don't get me started. He tries so hard to be so stylish, that he forgets to make you care about his characters. At least I am always bored and not interested. Also the Lobbyboy acted horrible. To me it seems like a watered-down version of Monogatari. I haven't seen The Grand Budapost Hotel ...

Instead of spending 40 euros on Crusader Kings 2, I decided to buy Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Braid and Banished for the same price. I'll just wait for the Steam summer sale so I can get CK2 for less money.
