Somehow i don't see any romantical vibes at all between the ken & Asuka, not just in the filming scene but in the whole movie.

Great art, but overall, not impressed.

Top of the list in rebuild series. But still way below EoE. Not to mention the manga, it's the best.

It might seems and feels awesome, beautiful and happy but somehow it just feels like it was made as a happy escape route.

It's funny that "Canon" things becomes even bigger problem in any stories or saga these days.
And as for these arts, they're as free as our interpretation of the open end.
If those to be canonized then there are many things to debate from the previous NGE art books.

Your reasoning only makes sense if you assume she had something left to say, like she was ejected in mid sentence, but she's been saying her piece all over the entire movie. Would we really know that she had nothing left to say? Or it was also just an assumption, since this is a super open end.

It's just for viewing pleasures. Don't think so hard. It might has some references from the film but it doesn't mean it is part of the film.
Unlike the manga, 3.0(-120).

They could just release the commercialized version of the manga as part of the figure, just like Gantz Reika figma.
Or they could also relalese new manga series, and this is part of them. But somehow i don't really like that, just leave this -120 as a lone manga, it made it more special anyway.
