In some cases yes. But the large eyes is just as much a stylistic and practical thing (Conveying emotion while needing fewer frames) as it is a real representation.

There are things other than the skin that make anime characters seem white to a lot of people. It was facial traits that makes a lot of anime characters seem white to me (I know the majority of them are supposed to be Japanese though, lol) Hmm. To me anime characters look quite Japanese whe...

Well, a lot of Japanese people have pale skin.

Re: Why the Evas have physical inputs?

You need the best of both worlds (mental syncing, and physical controlling) in order to control the Eva. No pilot can sync 100% with their Eva, and the physical controls only go so far, so a combination of both would be helpful. Yeah, I guess that does make sense. It would still make it har...

Why the Evas have physical inputs?

Forgive me if this has been raised before. Something that I've been wondering for a while is, why do the eva cockpits have physical inputs? ie. Control sticks. The pilots sync with the evas, yes? And as seen in the show they can have all kinds of physical and mental contact with the eva. So shou...

I think Rei wouldn't be that bad a name. Middle or first. I think it's unique with out being the name of a freakin'' fruit. (I'm referring to Apple of course)

It's probably just the Japaneses way of distinguishing Asian characters from European. As seen in other anime were Europeans are drawn with small eyes and big noses and alike. Exaggerating difference to make it clear that they aren't Japanese even if they are speaking it. (I am of course...

I watch Eva dub. But that's only because that's how I first saw it. If I first watch a show dubbed I find it hard to watch it subbed, and visa versa. Once I'm used to characters having certain voices, I find it hard to then watch them with different voices it just sounds too weird. That ...

The idea of episodes 1-24 being flashbacks doesn't bother me. The problem for me is, if the first 24 eps are flashback, how is Shinji able to recall events he wasn't witness to? Hmm.. I guess the mind meld thing could explain it. But wouldn't that still require him to be able to separat...

Kaji's not the kind of guy who pays rent anyway. He'd drop his half on you every month and you couldn't do anything about it because his charm would get you every single time. Events not depicted in The Dead Sea Scrolls are bound to occur. :emogendo: I will therefore have to alter my pl...

I'd say Kaji would be a fun room mate. I like his care free style and humour. We'd get along gang busters. But so as not to be a total sausage party... Just wait until he gets himself killed and you're stuck paying his half of the rent. Well I assume in this world were we are room mates...
