Re: could seelee be dead

Good heavens, where to begin. O.K., we do, in fact, see some of Seele in the flesh, the ones who are on "The Committee" I always assumed the comitee was done in a kind of hollographic chatroom. judging by the way they appear and disappear they are just as solid as the monliths. The only o...

Could Seele be dead?

we never see seelee in the flesh, and the only reasons for this is to look ominous and maintain secrecy. when kaworu spoke to the wrong number of monoliths they were thought it be the souls of dead angels. why would they manifest in this way?. Could seelee be communicating the same way? Also as a st...

Re: various questions: 15 years prophecy, angel intentions,

There's a theory that the Angels can't tell the difference between Adam and Lilith. I personally just think the Angel's have their own objectives and do as they will. I think kaworu's exposition is very revealing here. apparantkly he can't "sense" the difference betwee...

Um... anime fellas that are meant to look Caucasian are given big, Caucasian noses. The artists didn't intend for Kensuke to look like anything but a Japanese schoolboy. They also needed to make him and Toji look different. thankyou. I hate how many people go around saying that animei character...

of course it's not forward in evolution. they call it primordial soup. Meaning it is where evolution started.

but it seems so unlikely that kaworu comes from dr. k. admittedly you could argue he has similariities to Kaji, who has similarities to dr. k, but if there were (especially with the whole mother father discussion going on) he would have had at least a conversation with Misato.

I'm bored of this attitude of EGF's members, if it's not explicitly against NGE and it can be supported by hints in NGE why do you want to throw it out completely just like it doesn't even exist? and on that note, there's a scene in the manga where ritsuko says she's keeping...

What i am supposed to believe is that from here they said "talk or we'll rape you" she refused to talk but still followed all their instructions. Which seems...well quite frankly unbelievable. normally i'd agree with that. but for her overall submissive attitude afterwards. she ke...

it would be helpful if someone knew Japanese at this point. Disscussing the implications of the word donor doesn't really work as it's been translated. It seems unlikely that kaworu is made from keel or gendou, simply because theres no link ever made. in comparison to Rei who looks a lot lik...

remeber in death how as each character was introduced they had them playing an instrument. It's like narration without words. The chracters were looking back on the series. The fact is ghostly Rei's have no reason to exist at that particular time and place, except as a narrative bookmark of ...

I have a problem with the entire sent back in time thing. firstly the idea of time travel hasn't even been touched on before. Even god can't send his prophets back to stop things happening. it seems so out of place. And apart from her role as narrative bookmarker why would she choose to mani...

Beccause Evangelion is highly referential to WWII, what with second impact being a representation of the Atomic bomb.

The biggest problem here is the fact Rei was named after warship and Kaworu's name *wasn't even Anno's decision* but made by screenwriter for ep 24. The meaning of shore was intentional, yes, but it's untenable stretch to think Kaworu was named Nagisa to play opposite to Rei. It'...

but aren't all three main characters critisisims of moe archetypes? Shinji is showing how pathetic a man like that would be, Rei is the harsh reality of the servile dollike facile creature moe is (I am not a doll) and Asuka is an absolute subversion.
