I do my best to stay away from dubs, I was just commenting on how the pronunciation in the trailer is different from the movie, which tells you a lot right there.

Watched it subbed (although there are a few translation mistakes) and don't listen to Manga's stupid commentary. It'll just fill your head with misinformation or blatant BS. ("There's no word for "I" in Japanese?" ) I'm generally no...

-headdesk- Haha, yeah, I already saw that. Needless to say, I still use it whenever I feel like sending my other Eva fan friend into a frenzy.

... It was quite "effed up" as Shinji likes to put it.

My most of my friends who are otakus are the kind of batshit insane obsessed otakus who see other people afraid of. As a result of that, I've had my fair share of cosplay, although I've only done it three times and two out of those three were really makeshift. Those being Fio (Porco Ross...

And Anime-Shinji is a boy who feels distinctly worthless and can't do anything for himself. Manga-Shinji is an angsty teen, as per his violent outbursts at Gendou and his constant sarcastic thoughts. I don't entirley agree with that statement, for I read the manga way before I saw the show ...

My avatar is Henrietta from Gunslinger Girl (OSM show). I kind of gave up on finding an Eva icon I liked.

Will be scarred for life in two days.

Come monday morning, I will be viewing the infamous End of Evangelion. Iv'e seen small chunks of it, but never the whole thing in order.
Anyone have any tips on how to handle/understand/survive this sudden rush of insanity?

I have to say, I wish PenPen were real. He's better than your average house cat.

Hm, well this may be a plot divergence, but in vol 2 of the manga, she tells Shinji she got PenPen from her former place of employment. He was a genetic experiment there (which explains, well, why is is no normal penguin), they were done with him, and they were going to put him to sleep. But...

Because anime memorebilia (if I spelled that right I will jump for joy) is so damn attractive, I tend to buy it a lot, but usually give it to friends because I need a reason to buy it. Some of these (particularly evangelion) things include a stuffed PenPen I bought as a Christmas gif...

I read the manga before I saw the show, so my interperatation of the characters mainly comes from the books. Although there are some divergenses in the plot, you pretty much get the same story, it't just a little different how you get there. Example (may cause spoiler to episode 9 and volume...

Oh, how I love people who sacrifice their time to do nifty little things like take a kabillion screenshots. I really enjoyed all those screenshots of Misato yelling the same thing at the same angle. You can't really blame them for recycling shots (refering to "because we're cheap&qu...

-enters noob- Intro thread, hm? Alrighty. Well, I guess you could say Eva was my first "serious" anime/manga (meaning I actually watched the episodes in order and tried to comprehend the plotline) As you could imagine, having Eva as your first anime was a little... crazy... to say ...
