To be honest I've put Eva on hiatus for quite a while now. (That partly explains why I don't visit these forums much too often.) Although I might pick up some interest in it again one of these days - I hope.

It is one of my favorites, but right now I'd be hard-pressed to say that it is my only favorite.

Re: Evangelion as shonen

What amazes that Evangelion for all its darkness, character drama and psychological themes, that it is still classified as a shonen work. My experience with shonen is mostly that you usually have some sort hotblooded hero and his group of friends and they go off to fight monsters and generally save...

Isn't ツインテール just "twintails"? In that case use of word is identical between "normal" English and wasei-eigo and it would just be a loan word, I think. Tsuin-teeru is usually identified as wasei-eigo ; in fact, that term was original...

That was it, yeah. Another good example of wasei-eigo word would be "skinshippu" (edit: of course in my first post "girls they like" should be "girls they dislike", derp) Another is using renji (レンジ, in full denshi renji 電子...

I love how you use the word "disrespected" as if Eva is some kind of devine show that's above criticism "how dare you not like what I like!" "Blasphemed against" is a good alternative. Yeah, this guy should be burned at the stake at once. ;) Seriously though, s...
