I completely agree with everything everyone has said before me. It brought tears to my eyes, EVA has truly changed my life, even though I have only seen it relatively recently. This essay perfectly describes my feelings of EVA, and I can relate completely with you. I am thankful for you for adding t...

But still the final reason eludes description; was it the selfless love of a mother for her child, or of a lover for that which she cannot have? Is there no reason it can not be both? It is generally taboo that a mother love her child in a romantic way, which fulfills the second criteria of the lat...

I feel as though Shinji needs the praise of others to justify his existence, and Asuka needs the praise of herself to justify her existence. She doesn't really care about others. Like you said though, Asuka is almost never praised, but she knows, or at least she thinks she knows that everyone th...

This is exactly what happened to me, and I think that's what happens to most if not all of the Eva fans. Eva was an emotional roller coaster of awesome.

"You are (Not) Worthless."

That's a curious name, whats your source?

It would be a fitting name but I wasn't under the impression that they would be using the same English naming scheme.

Re: Square peg - fitting EoE between ep. 24 & 25

I think "End Of Evangelion" is exactly what Anno wanted from the beginning. But budget cuts, and other things kept it from happening. So the series ending came out of instinct, and everything turned out fine in my opinion. I feel that a lot of fans didn't like the series ending, becau...

I dunno, I guess what got me hooked originally (I saw one episode when I was younger than I currently am) was the giant robots, although after I've seen the entire show I can honestly say that I was a fool to be hooked only for the giant robots. I've only recently watched the entire ...

It's not that she doesn't have emotions, in my opinion. It's more of that she keeps everything bottled up, and one of these days it will explode and that's when the proverbial shit will hit the fan. (Off-topic -That's what happened to my brother (he kept his emotional pro...

Kill myself, probably. I couldn't handle the emotional stress of trying to help her. She has too many problems. You're talking about Shinji, right? Rei didn't have any problems , she was just quiet. If I knew Rei in real life, (which I know someone similar) I probably wouldn'...

Isn't D type equipment just equipment that can withstand various elements that a normal eva can't, but in doing so they have less mobility? Example: Eva-02 when going into the Volcano had D-type equipment to fight sandalphon. I think it's a nice shirt, don't know if I would want to w...

Re: Top 30 video game bosses list. Any nominations?

If we're gonna count Guitar Hero, Through the Fire and the Flames (Guitar Hero 3; Expert) Devil went down to Georgia is harder. Well, I suppose that is an actual boss battle. But if you just played the song by itself, and not against Lou, it's easier than Through the Fire and Flames...

I thought the ending of EoE was marvelous. All of EoE was marvelous, to be honest. I will agree the ending was slightly bitter-sweet, and it left a long lasting feeling. I do hope that the ending of Webuild will be good and maybe have some sort of closure, or if not closure at least a happy ending. ...
