Long ago, and by long ago, I mean long ago, I heard a rumor that Anno proposed to Asuka's voice actor sometime during the show, and got shot down.

Did that really happen, or was it just a rumor?

I wasn't sure wether ot put this in discussion or chit chat.

I liked the first issue, I always like seeing the Eva characters portrayed as normal folk. I wish they'd stop recycling that Rei-Shinji shower scene, even though this particular manga had the best repesentation of that scene I've seen yet.

I'd like to see the Eva anime, but depicted as a standard Giant Robot VS The Sea Monster show direction that the Evangelion anime was on the path to in the early episodes.
