Ooookay, figured I'd try and make a come back now with Rebuild and everything. I'm probably going to Bonn in a couple of weeks just to watch the new movie too, I'm thrilled. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself again! So I'm Sventevith aka. Jarnroth or Albin or Atlas or...

To me, it doesn't matter if it's good or not. I can't relate to it if it isn't in Japanese. The only thing I can bare to look at with dub is Dragonball, because it's funny.

Also, I can't relate to english dubs for whatever reason. It comes out as silly to me, and it feels like they lack acting capabilities. This kind of thing is usually only true in people that know English but not Japanese. To them, Japanese sounds better because they don't know what they'...

With dubs I'm always afraid that they would change the script enough for certain phrases to "miss", of course that happens also with subtitles but with subtitles you can be a bit more faithful to the original script without really having to worry too much about it sounding "right...

Dude, I still don't understand Evangelion very much. But anyway. I'm calling 14. If not for the allegorical undertones but the states of the characters themselves, and to truly connect with these characters and understand and sympathize with their states of being; I think a 14 year old coul...

Why would you talk about weeping and crying on an internet forum?

Why tell everyone what you're listening to, or what you think about the world today? Or why discuss anything at all? Let's just sit there and keep our mouths shut.

Oh no, we're speaking of emotions... WHICH MEANS WE'RE EMOTIONAL (aka. human).

Pretty stupid statement.

I found it depressing, but I loved it.

Seen it, it was damn good - but it didn't move me. :) And Rozen Maiden seems interesting, and I've had it on the computer for a good while - supose that's next after AIR.

No worries, I didn't take it like that - I was just jumping from one thing to another in the same sentence.

But it sounds good, I think that's what I'll watch next then!

Speaking of bans, once when I was 12-13 years old I spammed a Swedish Diablo II board together with some guy so we would reach a daily-record of posts. (There was a counter showing how many posts that had been made so far that day, and how many last day.) I think we reached something like 60...

Haven't seen AIR, but Grave of the Fireflies was awesome - perhaps I should see AIR then! Quick synopsis? And Gungslinger Girl seems interesting and I've heard a lof of people talking good of it, so that's something else I think I'd watch. Thanks for the suggestions! Hehe, death of O...

Depressive movies/animes.

'm looking for tragic movies which doesn't feel fake, which doesn't have this stamp of Hollywood production or that just jokes with things. I want serious business (lol internets) in either a good aesthetic way, storytelling or acting. Of course if there's some anime like tha...

This is a weeping thread.

A thread in which to weep. Or not, but perhaps discussion on things which stirrs your emotions... Perhaps a certain event, a movie, a song or someone you know which it happened something to - or maybe even empathy with people. (Guess it's too much to ask from most humans, I'm one of them...

Hehe, those three first movies could almost be taken straight from my list - except that I'd kick in Werner Herzog's "Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle" too.

I use an already excisting word in another meaning than what it's suposed to be used, gnu.

It doesn't really mean anything!

"Fucking gnu."

"That's one gnuish cup of coffee."

But in Swedish...

"Jävla gnu."

"Det där var en gnuig kopp kaffe."
