I didn't find it depressing but it certainly affected me more than any other animated/sci-fi film I've seen before. I think I watched it every day for a month after first seeing it. Whats so weird about it is that part 1 is completely exoteric and comprehendable and part 2 is esoteric and al...

I can't tell you how many times I said "what the hell" after watching the end of Big O the first time. After reviewing the second season a few times I finally got it. It's my other favorite anime besides NGE. Yeah it's an okay show. It had the style of Cowboy Beebop but the ch...

I thought you meant in terms of plot continuety.

Last I checked, episodes #07 through #11 were all integral to the plot. Shiro Tokita and his baby JA exist, if nothing more, for Crossover Madness. I think what fuzzy meant was that the episodes didn't explicitly appear to have the same depth as the episodes before and after. I'd disagree b...

Episodes 7-14 are all flaws. You say that but would the proceeding episodes have been as emotionally stimulating if 7-14 (or in my opinion 7-11) hadn't been as lighthearted as they were for the most part. If you look at it this way then maybe what you see as a flaw is really a strength....

I think "flaws" is too general a term because like others have said all human creations have flaws by nature.

Maybe it would be more appropriate to think about its flaws within a context or contexts.

But the tree of life was only formed when the lance merged with U01.

What would have happened if it hadn't returned?

What I don't understand is if SEELE needed the original LOL to turn U01 into the tree of life then why were they attacking the geo-front?

How did they know it would come back?

Come to think of it, why did it come back?

I've always assumed that Rei was telepathically linked with Shinji and Toji. There's no reason why Toji would be dreaming about Shinji talking about how his father doesn't understand him. Plus consider Toji's comment "This is weird" . The train seems to be a reference origi...

Also imaginary Mishima's voice was much sexier than Nyamo's.

Any way it's off to Zeta country now.

If this topic becomes any more about RahXephon than it already is, I'm going to request a lock. I'm not asking you to stay on topic, people. Well I've seen the whole series now and found that there are much better things to flame it for than its similarities to Eva. Although I can't...

I had a spider on my roof, since it was out of range I used fly spray to kill it, a spider also has lots of "legs".. OMG I RIPPED OFF EVA!!! The idea of using a "weapon" that could "bridge" the gap would never have occured to me if I hadn't of watched Evangelion! T...

They start talking about Instrumentality in Eva as early as episode 2. Remember? Yeah but you have no idea at all what it is until EoE. Anyway I think they called it human enhancement in that episode. Me thinks you need to watch Eva again if you think those things are only relevent in the movies. I...

Instrumentality is directly from Ideon and you say it doesn't effect most of the series? It doesn't effect the series. It only takes place in the film. C'mon! Many of the shows key points - mechas with souls, Ideon/Unit 01 as the key to everyone's plans, Again that only emerges in Eo...

Regardless, I've never made the argument that Eva is a ripoff of Ideon. Infact Eva is better than Ideon, no questions asked with me. Eva's a much more polished show that uses its time a lot better (although I've got quite a gripe with the time management in Eva, compared to early 80...
