A light dust off and a hello

Hello all, it has been a while. Watching the latest Rebuild (all things are spoily so I shall relegate that to where it should be) has kind of reminded me of this place, and hoped I might have something constructive to add there. I am shouting at whoever, that one must not let Anno go, but I digress...

Re: Shin Eva leak general

A good portion of the Gendo Shinji fightoff seems to occur in locales of the TV series, but it has been explained by Gendo that this is all a mirage created by the LCL and whatever shenanigans that occur with the Golgotha piece and negative space (the fight scene montage has a very TV series cell sh...

Re: Shin Eva leak general

What does Shinji mean by say hi to Kensuke? Does this mean Kensuke died too, and Shinji is saying goodbye to Asuka before she passes on the the afterlife or something? It has been implied throughout the film that Kensuke and Asuka are a little close, and so probably a typical and sentimental formal...

Say what now? Is that a deleted scene?

It shows Shinji sleeping in a warehouse or factory and Asuka is looking over him. Since she's wearing a jacket and no pants, I think that takes place in the village.

It is straight from the village scene, as per above.

Re: Shin Eva leak general

this is coming out of nowhere a little bit, but if i recall there was no explanation for the coffins on the moon that we saw in 1.0 when kaworu wakes up. i do wonder though, with kaworu being in a timeloop being very probable or true, if that changes how we can look at that scene. i've got no idea ...

Re: Shin Eva leak general

While reading the pamphlet was interesting, there are no real explainers here....... however, the VA does state quite clearly that there is a very clear spiritual continuation, and the fact that words like 'Asuka meeting original Asuka (元アスカ)' appears in the Q&A comment section of the pamphlet s...

Re: Shin Eva leak general

I can't say anything, but it looks more like a "meta connection", rather than a literal one (at least for this scene). I don't know... It is a much cleaner way of looking at it, but it is possible to infer that Kaworu is looping through different bodies, Shikinami is a clone type derived ...

Different VA for the ending narration, or so I read.

Reading the pamphlet, I don't think they have a separate credit for mature Shinji (might be mistaken)

Re: Shin Eva leak general

The very end is essentially Shinji as a salary-man (or prospective post-university job hunter) with Mari. They obviously tinkered with Shinji's voice as well. I am still confused as to how the Rebuild-verse is properly connected to the EoE ending (it is, spiritually, as we can see from the limited I...

I would say, that while the aesthetics might be considered HK like, it is still very much Japan- the whole HK was to put the aesthetic of overpopulation and probably nothing more than that. (I do however agree that the film may deviate from original context to a more blurry area- but still, I st...

In Japan, one would say that it is more the bureaucracy that is at the reins than the corporations (essentially, the banks are at the mercy of the Financial Services Agency that used to be part of the Finance Ministry, the Finance Ministry decides how much budget the Ministry of Land and Infrast...

removing the gay from this cover would be like removing any reference to iron man from the cover of the first movie it makes no fucking sense Might be so they can stealth market it to crazy people down south. They will all watch it and then magically everything becomes more tolerable for the so-cal...

If they decide to make it, they better keep the context (which is part of the identity of Ghost in the Shell). If they decided to turn it into a 'Security Service's Super Secret Special Scion Story' which would be.... not the most atypical thing about, they don't need to go a...

Hamsters are very virile. Definitely could have hanky panky with more than 1000 lady hamsters in a relatively short span of time. (I had multiple pairs of hamsters and I definitely know; had to separate them to prevent the mountains of hamster pups) I always thought that vampires outside of ...

While I may disapprove of some of the things described, I would say that none of them are physically impossible. (And I have not seen TYT in a while which was bit of a nostalgia for me)

It really depends on time frame really.
