lyricaldanichan: Good to know since I'll be going to Fanime. :smirk: What's the documentary? I don't think anybody knows how the German convention will screen the film yet, but I thought most places use a film projector.... Awesome! All I know it is about the making of Gurren-Laggan. No...

I was wondering about that if Funi did get the rights to all 4 movies or just purchasing it case to case basis. I just seems strange if they did it "case by case".

At fanimecon this year we are showing the first G-L movie plus a documentary that has not been released from Gainax. Kinda curious how they are showing the 2nd G-L movie and Eva 2.0 for this convention.

Does anybody know if they are showing this from a Film Projector or using a dvd as a source?

Oh wow that is nice.. well it seems like the trend for movie programs for anime related movies is starting to show up at Kinokuniya. The San Jose, CA store started to do this with the Death Note movies. Hopefully the Eva 1.0 ones will be there soon as well.

Everyone is stating this in too confusing a manner. To boil it all down: even though the Manga started publishing before the Anime started airing, the Manga is based on the Anime. The opposite is true for most shows. The early episodes don't resemble the early Manga stages because Anno was copy...

Unlike Sadamoto and Anno, I don't believe that Yamaga has ever in fact been married. I hope his ex-girlfriend didn't marry the president of a giant corporation, or anything like that. "Yamaga-kun, you've changed..." I thought he did have a girlfriend who did or was coming with...

You mean Gundam Wing took it from Gunbuster. ;-) Gunbuster pre-dates GW, and to my knowledge, most of the previous Gundam series didn't feature the Gundams as uber deadly death machines the way they were depicted in GW. However, Gunbuster owes a lot to such shows like Mazinger and Getter Ro...

It bothers me that this really has nothing to do with the original series and that DieBuster looks like Sadamoto the destroyer (no pun intended). 2nd episode was released on dish and the dvd should be out soon. Hopefully the 2nd episode will pick up the pace. Also wonder about the Gunbuster ...

I figured it was you, Danielle, or should I say Sato. Actually one of the ANIMAG staff has the original cover painting Sadamoto did (on commission) for that issue! Gainax wanted to borrow it for an art book some years later, but they figured they'd never get it back if they let it leave...

If anybody is wondering how the R20 trailer got online.. well *cough* *cough* hehehe I remeber about hmm 15-18 years ago when Animag (RIP) had a huge article about Wings of Honeamise (Issue 7.. ahhh!) which also talked about Route 20. In fact the contest they had was 2 signed sketche...

It is called Supervisor Poor Service - 「監督不行届」 and it is 840Y or you can get the deluxe version for 1800Y (180 pages). The baby is a character that Moyocco Anno draws in various mangas. You do see the omake in Flowers and Bees who apparenlty i...

I would rather hear classical/instrumental music with actual meaning then hear some metal idiot yelling his head off, or whatever type of music you would say Nine Inch Nails or Smashing Pumpkins produces. That's one of the most arrogant and repulsive things I've ever read. '_' But a...

Hmm that is a suprised that you couldn't connect with those songs because at the time a lot of people were able to. Is users on this thread born in the 80's or early 90's? I guess I am suprised of the reaction, but figured that might be the reason why nobody here understands. Not like th...

Some of those bands shouldn't be in the same sentence, or even same paragraph as Eva. I for one have the EoE OST which is teh r0x0r. I don't why the would release a "revised" soundtrack. Probably to Amercanize and mainstream Eva just a little more. (aka "basterdization&qu...
