Need help creating my own EVA unit
I plan on creating my own personal Evangelion unit, but I need help on creating it. First off, how should I create the EVA to begin with? Should I commission someone, draw it myself, or is there a website where I can customize and design my own Eva, like one of those old dress-up Flash games? Second...

That's correct. And, if possible, send it to Amazon and/or Netflix to have them change their subs to the fansubs.

Re: Evangelion: The Definitive Dub Project
In my humble opinion, I think it would honestly be better to create a "Definitive Sub Project". I don't know much Japanese, but I do know a little, enough to know that some subtitles mistranslate the script. And I hate when the writers decide to Americanize the script too much. I'm hoping ...

Re: -46h (GENERAL) [SPOILER]
If they do a dub for this, they better not butcher it like they did with 3.0 + 1.0. In fact, I'm hoping for Funimation to make a dub of this, and a dub of 3.0 + 1.0 using the actors they did for the other 3 Rebuild dubs.

Re: FGC translation for Rebuilds?
The role of a translator is to create a product which can be understood by people who are unable to understand the source language. In the case of Evangelion, the translator's role is to create an English product for people who don't speak Japanese. Japanese animation attracts people whose ...

Funimation Dubs for Rebuild Amazon?
Who here thinks that Amazon should have gone with Funimation for the dub of Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 and all other Rebuild films on their streaming service? I for one think that they should've, cuz the English voice acting for 3.0 + 1.0 is abysmal in my opionion. I also think that Amazon should use the ...

Why'd they make it mostly inaccurate though? For instance, the scene at the beginning of 1.0 where Shinji's on the phone and says "It's no good." is subtitled as "Nuts." What made them do that?

Re: FGC translation for Rebuilds?
Wait, translating subtitles, you say? Has she translated the scripts to the Rebuild movies, with her currently working on 3.0 + 1.0? It wasn't exactly the script, it was the Japanese subtitles, which was an option for the movie in theatres. Reichu has translated a good amount of these subtitles in ...

Re: FGC translation for Rebuilds?
If someone steps up to the plate, then we would use that; but at the moment, apart from Reichu's work on her site translating the subtitles from Shin, there hasn't been any such effort. We don't even have an EoE script for completing the OG series commentary. Wait, translating subtitles, you say? H...

FGC translation for Rebuilds?
Is there going to be a Fan Geek Commentary translation for the Rebuild of Evangelion movies? If not, then can someone point me to the most accurate fan translated scripts for all four films?

Re: Netflix Version: Subs vs. Dub
Who knows? The most likely explanation is that Khara gave Netflix/VSI the audio masters without dialogue that used the queuing in the more recent mixes. Or it could be that Khara only gave them the surround mix, and they had to down-mix to stereo from those sources. I wonder why in the Netflix dub ...

Re: Netflix Version: Subs vs. Dub
I actually think the dub is about as good as the subbed this time around. The performances range from good to great, and Stephanie McKeon does a particularly wonderful job as Asuka. The Eva roars seemed to fit naturally into the mix. The only thing I think would have been neat is if the English ste...

Re: Rebuild fan commentary?
That's pretty much the official subs in the latest releases. Those were done by professional, in-house translators; they have knowledge and access to production material that most of us here couldn't even dream of. The amount of things that might realistically need changing are in the single digits...

Re: Rebuild fan commentary?
Reichu is no longer involved with any of the Evageeks projects. If you want more of her stuff, you can find it here . As for the FGC, there are currently no plans of extending it even to span the full series. The project is unfortunately more time and labour intensive than feasible to do the whole ...

Rebuild fan commentary?
Are Reichu and the others willing to do a fan geek commentary of all four Rebuild of Evangelion films, with subtitle translations that are accurate as possible? If there is a Rebuild FGC already with accurate translations, please let me know.
