It is a spear which has a will and is a type of lifeform capable of moving by itself . This is an item close to a god and thus able to put a Seed of Life (Progenitor Entity), who holds the power of eternal life, into suspended animation, and this is the reason why the Seed of Life (Prog...

i have always thought that the sand pyramid represented NERV HQ in someway. Correct me if im wrong, but i don't think you said anything about that in your analysis. I always thought he was figuratively destroying NERV HQ because of his feelings of abandonment as a sort of allegory for how he wa...

I'm going to say there's nothing behind it. Though if forced to, I'd say the air pressure in KEEL's room was greater and Rei was poking people with needles.

Advent children was a disappointment for me. The characters lost their wit and appeal to better fit the typical anime character line-up. And the action I guess just isn't my style. Whenever everyone have infinite strength and everything, it looses its excitement. And it added very little to the ...

Or you could just default to Yoko Kanno and automatically get a super-amazing typically brilliant and appropriate soundtrack.

I think Eva should steer clear of any kind of Rock music. It would make it even more cliched and boring. Scene's like Asuka's final battle in EOE found a really disturbing dissonance in the contrast between the action and the music that made the scene effective. Any kind of rock beat would t...

Wasn't Lilith a woman to begin with? Lilith was created next to Adam before Eve was made from Adam's rib.

Re: Opinion on the opinion of Evangelion

"Evangelion is like a puzzle, you know. Any person can see it and give his/her own answer." I dunno, I think most >500 piece puzzles only go together one way. Maybe with a pair of scissors people can give their own answers (like those who claim to be able to read Gendo's lips).

Back when I headed sailormoon.org's forums, we had an entire team of people whose job it was to delete duplicate, triplicate, and quadruplicate accounts. Things got out of hand when bots first started showing up and began registering up to 500 accounts at a day. In either case, it was often diff...

I still think that Shin-seiki has the best explanation for this: Kaworu did understand that Adam's body was with Gendo, and knew all the time that it was Lilith on the cross. He also knew that Rei was watching and was play-acting confusion for her benefit. He wanted Rei to know it was Lilith be...

Instrumentality wasn't prepared. And Kaworu was a pawn they felt they could control.

I for one hate when someone is disturbing a thread for the lowly thrill of causing chaos and making people mad. Forums are made for people to have a chat. For intensive anger-management, buy a bag of flour and beat the living shit out of it. Have fun. -_- There's a difference between trolling a...

The last two episodes do go hand-in-hand with EoE. 25&26 and EoE are two sides of the same coin. Is this established fact now? Considering the vastly different endings, I think it's still open ended. Yeah, that's right, vastly. Shinji strangling Asuka isn't my idea of complete self-...

Um, it can be very helpful, but it's nice to have a context. Moaning for the sake of moaning is, itself, useless. If there is something worth weeping about, it should be its own thread, and not something tangled in with the saddened insecurities of a dozen other people.

Thought it was pretty well understood that was SEELE's intent. The whole point of Instrumentality was to cause and control the third impact. This is why after Kaworu was killed SEELE told the UN that NERV was going to destroy the world and instigated the assault in End of Eva. My question is wha...

Such and such percent of Internet flame wars begin because of a misunderstanding of the implied inflection of someone's speech. Being heavily emotion or sarcastic can often lead to nasty nastiness. So let's just all avoid that.

I don't like her, don't dislike her. She just is. I do think she ads a stabilizing dynamic to the show. When everyone else is going all suicidal depressive, she's just staring at the wall. And the fact of the matter is that she is mysterious. The most terrible things in the world can hap...
