Just to clarify, are we talking Fallout 4, or 3, or New Vegas?

Re: Star Wars

Disney had nothing to do with the Clone Wars series. That series was running well before Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars. They just decided to let it remain in canon after the acquisition. That is pretty much why I have so much disdain for how Disney handled Star Wars in the past. My other ...

Re: Fallout

What even can you do that's evil in 4, really? Nobody cares if you kill podunk settlers in the middle of nowhere, and every faction is grey at best. Those silly Minutemen are perhaps the lightest shade of grey in the bunch at that. I will also note that they are extremely... easy to influence, if y...

Re: Star Wars

Rogue One was definitely an awesome viewing. Considering how much disdain I have for Disney treating much of the Star Wars franchise in the past (In particular the CGI Clone Wars series), this latest Star Wars movie is one of the strongest pieces to have come out since the original trilogy, in my hu...

My current reading attention is split between David McCullough's biography on John Adams and one of Harry Turtledove's alternate-history novels, The Two Georges.

Re: 2016 Positivity Thread (Good things that happened, you came across, etc.)

I sort of lost my love for gaming this year and went though a slump but I would like to thank Stardew Valley for renewing my fun in gaming and would like to tell anyone who has steam to buy it right now because its dirt cheap. http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley_Wiki I also discovered Stard...

Re: the problem with eva hentai doujinshi

Explanation: I'd discovered that Evas without armor skeeved most people out. That base reaction of disgust is useful, since it's pretty much what I might feel when I see the soulless, OOC exploitation of my favorite bunch of fictional characters. In Reichu logic, the natural way to satirize the wor...

Re: Obscure technical questions - For writing research

Nerv seem to regard it as a possibility against which precautions must be taken, whatever that is worth. As for the D-Type equipment, Eva-01's compatibility isn't even brought up. If she was compatible, Gendo would have immediately ruled out using her anyway. Eva-01's hardware is more advanced than...

Re: Official "What should I watch next?" thread

If you have not watched it yet, I would recommend Aldnoah Zero. Lots of good giant mecha action combined with unorthodox combat approaches.

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat

Depends on the stress level. If I'm waaay too stressed, I prefer to just do nothing at all. But if I'm down to the wire or need to study for an exam? Oddly enough, I listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRtnWVvDX6k For the record, I'm not of Welsh descent, and I was born in the United Sta...

Re: Waking Up from Instrumentality

The thing that still leaves me wondering after all this time is just how far the existence of people "overlap" in terms of Instrumentality. If I recall correctly (And my memory is now extremely fuzzy about exact details, so I beg pardon for any plot butchery), Shinji was told that anyone w...

Re: How did you first get into Evangelion?

First saw a model kit for an "End of Evangelion" edition of Unit-01 in a comic book shop back in my high school days. I was curious what the series was all about, so I asked a classmate of mine who was a big mecha fan. He then lent me his DVDs of the entire series (Including EoE) and I imm...

@xPearse: I sat down, patched and played the game (Through both routes), and I thoroughly appreciate the effort you put into allowing us non-Japanese-speaking folks to enjoy this amusing jaunt into meddling with Rei/Asuka's lives. Bravo! On a side note, it seems that the endings seem to be heavily b...

Re: Theoretically, would a Western re-release of Eva be better before or after 4.0?

I would probably hold to the opinion that a re-release in the West would be better before 4.0. Spark interest in the franchise once again, educate (mindscrew) the next generation of anime viewers... And it would possibly leave people eager to view something that's (hopefully) somewhat more mentally ...

Re: Songs that remind you of Evangelion

This song is currently probably more associated in terms of popular media today with a kids' movie about a green ogre (Or occasional holiday carols), but listening to the lyrics and with this rendition in particular: Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah Rendition by Kate Voegele https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Obscure technical questions - For writing research

Hey there, everyone. First time on the Evageeks forum, so I'll also say my hellos here. Anyways, I'm working on a piece of fiction for Eva, so I'm in need of everyone's knowledge. I personally haven't watched episodes from the original NGE series for years, so my memory/knowledge are currently spott...
