Boy, it's almost May.
Did they give up? I'm reasonably interested in the Yoko Taro anime. Still haven't gotten around to playing Nier.
Frankly, we should probably focus on moving forward rather than making sense of Shin. Sadly, even though I still consider Q my favorite movie, I'm of the opinion that interviews made about it a decade later are a losing proposition. Memory fades and people can have new opinions forming over time. Dear old Anno himself is the best example of this, he loves pretending like he never changed his mind in the last 30 years.

I wonder how many copies it would sell. I'm sure some, people buy anything Eva related, but I doubt they will be candid about all the obvious problems during the making of Shin, and all the rewrites needed, much less why they pivoted so hard with Q.

I don't really like how the new short soft-retcons the movie, a little bit, much like -120min and -46h did. To be quite fair, EoE did this with EoTV, but it was actually much better that time around. Oh well. I guess we just have to appreciate Shin in and out of itself (bit of a mouthful, that...).

Re: 3.0 CRC in development!
I don't know if Khara thinks it's even worth it at this point. All the big questions about the development of Q and Shin were answered and the big big one (The NTP at the end of Q) was confirmed to have vindicated everyone in support of its existence so all that's left lore-wise is the actual mechanics of N3I and maybe the 11th angel but these are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
Please just call me Ian, "TheFrisky" is more of a title.

∆ Well CRCs aren't about answering questions, that's just a natural side effect at times.
They're about preserving a record of production material and beautiful art.
they're still working on it, they said so as recently as the 30th anniversary event. Apparently just a lot of material.
They showed that in the making of, so why not. I don't think it's a problem either, it's just the creative process.

Shinji: "Sooner or later I'll be betrayed... And they'll leave me. Still... I want to meet them again, because I believe my feelings at that time were real."
Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"
-Asuka: THINK IN GERMAN!!! -Shinji: Öh... Baumkuchen...
Hayashida: "As game developers, our work is special. All of us here can put smiles on very many people's faces with our work."
