Viewers mangling that isn't fair in any way.
There is zero excuse to mispronounce things when you have the original audio telling you exactly how it should be.

Ritzko -- where there's a 'u' in the romaji as part of a phoneme, it's often omitted; an 'i' is often omitted as part of the "shi" character, but not as pervasively.

I always pronounce it Ay-von-gell-ion because they pronounce the Eva's as Ay-vahs

I pronounce it the same way the syllables are pronounced in my native language; the official dubbing in my country does too. After all, "gospel" in my language is evangelho.
