Hello! First time posting here! I'm a huge fan of Evangelion (as I'm sure all of you are) and I've been wondering for a while now if anyone knows where, or how, to watch the original theatrical cut of 1.0 (or as close to it as possible - ie, fan-edits or subbed camrips). I'm aware that version wasn't released on home media. I already own 1.01 on DVD and 1.11 on Blu-Ray via import, so this is more to sate my own curiosity. I'm a huge sucker for seeing films as they were initially released or intended to be viewed (I hunted down the theatrical cuts of the original Star Wars trilogy for this same reason).

The closest I could find online was someone on here mentioning that subbed camrips do (or at least did) exist back in 2008 - https://forum.evageeks.org/thread/5881/When-did-you-watch-Eva-10-split/.

If anyone could help me out here or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated!!

The upcoming Japanese 30th anniversary collection will include the theatrical cut of 1.0, so your best option is waiting a few weeks and surfing the seven seas, or wait a bit more for a localized home video release.
