Well, it's real and it looks amazing. What a sleek trailer!
Mouse functionality appears to be confirmed. As well as a new Mario Kart, which looks great. People are saying that the game will support 24 players on the track.
It's a shame we have to wait until April to find out more...

It does look pretty good. I think I'm going to stick with the steamdeck though for a while unless they bring out something really interesting

While it looks nice, I personally think the Switch 1 having fully coloured red and blue joy-cons looked nicer and they should have retained that style instead of making to so black.

Nonetheless Nintendo is the only company that isn't really going platform-agnostic, emulation aside, we're even seeing the line between ARM and x86 eroding, not to mention Linux and Windows, thanks to translation layers. And Microsoft going all in with xCloud. I already know a lot of people who reneged on hardware purchases because of it. Big N seems to be the only one that hasn't embraced that yet.

To be honest, after 8 years of silence from Nintendo, I was expecting a brand new, innovative console. This feels like an upgrade to the Switch. A needed upgrade? Yes. Supposedly this thing is similar in power to a PS4 or Xbox One, which is almost unbelievable for a handheld console. I'm not over the moon excited for this console, but I probably will grab it a few years after it comes out. I see this as a 3DS to the DS, a hardware upgrade with some changes here and there, and backwards compatible.

To be honest, I liked that they managed to keep the iconic red and blue colors (on the analog stick and connectors) while changing the look at the same time. I think the black color looks sleek. But they will definitely sell colored joycons too (probably right at launch).

Well, the Switch has been a very successful console. It just surpassed 150 million units sold and will probably become the best-selling video game console in history very soon. So I think it's only fair that they try to release a new version that fixes all the problems of the previous model. I also love innovation, though. So I hope they use mouse functionality in some really creative ways in games.
As for processing power, I've read that it's a bit closer to a PS4 Pro or Series S than a base PS4. Very impressive for a handheld, indeed. Especially if it end up using new tools like AI upscaling. I don't really care much about this, but it's pretty cool.

Too much salt lately. Nintendo 64 DD game ports or GTFO.

Yeah, its nothing really special, but at the same time, I don't think it needed to be anything amazing. I like Nintendo first party software, so I'm glad they have more power to do stuff. And it makes a lot of the older switch 1 titles perform much better is a plus.

The only thing I wish they would have done, was go back to the personality of the Wii branding with the new hardware. Switch games are great but man is the console soulless.
