Best Evangelion figures

I have tried most of the major lines that sell evangelion figures, and I used to love the Robot Spirits and the Soul of Chogokin SPEC, now I'm looking to upgrade and am trying to decide between the Bandai Tamashii Nation Metal Build (which are 8.6 inches, and have amazing quality) and the Medicom RAH Line of evangelion figures (are a bigger size, around 14-16 inches depending on the figure, as they are bigger than the others)

I have enough $ that I'd like to get whichever figure is best, but I only collect Evangelion Units, (mostly 01)

Any advice? If you think another brand is even better please lmk

Depends on what you're looking for at the end of the day; I can't firsthand speak to the material quality of either, but heard pretty much only good things there; it really just comes down to aesthetic preference, availability and, sooner or later, shelf space management

The movies function on their own terms. If people can't accept them on those terms, and keep expecting them to be NGE, then they probably should have realized a while ago that they weren't going to have a good time. ~ Words of wisdom courtesy of Reichu

As a pretty big toy collector I can say the best figures to look into are the new MAFEX of Unit 01 and Unit 13 from the Rebuilds. I bought both and love them; I'm also looking forward to the new white plugsuit figma Asuka!

The one piece of advice that I can definitively give is that no matter what you do, you should not get the old Perfect Grade model kit; that thing is only good as a challenge to yourself, the process of assembling it is quite rough, and the end result still needs rather extensive extra work to look good

How is the Eva 01 Dynaction figure? I love Tamashii Nation figures, and it seems like a compromise between the Metal builds and the Medicom RAH lines

One of my mutuals has it, didn't have a great time with it; their copy had pretty bad QC issues, but that might have been fixed with the reengineered second edition they made, don't know for certain
