Whats up, I wanted to ask you why we Westerners use Japanese terms that come from Japan for things related to anime, eg: settei or seiyuu (although we also use the term "voice actor"), I wonder why we use these terms if they mean the same as in the west.

The same reason why any other loanwords are used; because they are commonly used for something foreign and adopted uncritically, people think they sound cool, or sometimes just carry a specific connotation that a translated term would not have; for example the word kaiju describes a narrower scope of entities than "giant monster"
