Bought mine for $180 way back in 2016.

Ooooh, gotcha. Yeah, 400 for the Wunder after shipping and everything is a realistic, if on the higher end, price point
I can see why Gendo hired Misato to do the actual commanding. He tried it once and did an appalling job. ~ AWinters

So Bandai just announced RG 04. Unsurprising given the fact that they already had the mold for the main body from 03, but the shield is still nice to see.

They have to make up their minds!
Did Eva 04 (with that design) exist in Rebuild or not?

We saw the explosion, so it's safe to assume that it did, and that is the only design we ever got for it bar the drill version with slightly different colors, but still the same armor

But what about all the other Mark 4 units?
We don't see this Eva along with the others at the end of Shin Eva :uhh:

The theory I subscribe to is that the Mk-04 line is constructed out of the core matter left behind by the explosion

Bandai has announced that for the time, there will be soft restrictions on exports of model kits to combat stock shortages in Japan; currently, 1999 (also referred to as hobbysearch) and amiami do sell model kits to overseas; Hobbylink Japan has stated that they will keep doing so.

Probably relevant info to a few people here getting their stuff directly from Japan, especially now with RG 04 around the corner

EDIT: some clarifying info

New 18 inch Eva-1 model kit, for the people who want a gigantic 18 inch Eva-1, I guess… For its size, $200 honestly seems fairly reasonable.

Is this the largest commercially available Unit 1 model/figure that’s ever been made?

Haha, should’ve clarified that I meant model kit/action figure. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen expensive statues in the 2-3ft range going for thousands of dollars.

Not much of a statue guy myself but wow, that sweater is REALLY nicely painted and sculpted. Almost looks like real cloth.

Yeah, even the details were made well like her earring.

While I still prefer her wearing her red suit and hat, but this figure is so beautiful.

With the yen as weak as it is I've been making a few Mandarake orders. Got the Shinkalion Eva 01 from both series 1 and 2, couple Asuka statues and the old Chogokin Unit 02 coming with this package. I'll take pics!

Now they’re making a giant (Rebuild) Unit 2 to go with the Unit 1 that released earlier in the year.

Oh yeah, one of my mutuals has the 01. It is comically gigantic, a good chunk bigger than the ancient Bandai Perfect Grade. I'd be tempted to get one myself, if not for the fact that I'd have absolutely no idea where to put it

Yep… $200 for a kit that big honestly isn’t a bad asking price, but where the hell am I gonna put an 18 inch tall Evangelion? Much less multiple?

I also feel like at this scale they could’ve maybe included a set of hands with posable fingers. Maybe with pre-molded bendable fingers like some Gundam kits have.
