Thanks EvaChero, It's been a stressful period due to the fact that I have to take my last exam but I'm generally fine, I hope that you're fine too; we don't post as much eva fan art as we used to be sadly

tis true GB, I had a pretty fertile run going for a while but had to step back and work on a new project for something I'm writing. I expect some more Eva stuff to pop into my brain from time to time tho. Best of Luck to you!!

Are we allowed to post art we've commissioned in this thread?

There's nothing restrictive about, but I understand that this thread is intended for fan arts made by the very members of this forum who want to share it. In the case of commissioned arts, it seems to make more sense to post in the other thread.

If you want to post here, I don't see any problem though.

Yeah, things you commissioned are kind of a grey area in that regard, but there's not any reason for us to forbid posting it here. So yeah, go with either thread you think would fit more

Well, I guess if commissioned art counts, then AI art probably counts too... I mean, I pay $10/month, I tell the AI what I want, and then it draws stuff that I may or may not like... that's basically commissioned art, right?

Anyway, I've been playing with MidJourney and I've managed to produce some pretty recent live-action-ish Rei art:



I still can't manage to get reliably red eyes. I got orange eyes in one image, but that was by accident; I think the AI didn't understand that the phrase "orange details" was supposed to be for the plugsuit only. This would also explain why orange crap reliably shows up in the backgrounds.

This evening, the part of Rei Ayanami will be played by Dakota Fanning.

Joke aside, these are crazy good.
Lots of conflicted feelings on AI art.

In my opinion, if you're willing to put in the time and effort to come up with exactly the right combination of words to produce something acceptable, you're entitled to whatever table scraps the AI spits out.

Anyway, I've been able to produce some halfway decent Misatos this morning, one of whom has some Monica Lewinsky vibes...
