Mistake in Angel Blood sequence.
Is it just me, or did they use the wrong hand in this schematic of New Unit 02? It says "palm" so the thumb is on the correct side, but it looks like the fingers are curling the wrong way.

yup, that sure doesn't look natural. I suppose it could be at a really weird angle, but still. Ouch my wrists.

Hopefully it's something they catch and fix in the Blu-Ray release. Wonder if there's a way to let them know about this directly.

That's an interesting observation! But I don't think there is a mistake in the film. Instead, I think this is just an optical illusion like the spinning dancer: if you stare at the right hand for a bit, you can convince yourself either that the fingers are curled down (which would be a mistake) or curled up (which is not). I'm able to see it both ways.

^ yeah, more likely than not it’s just a perspective thing; the hand is actually facing palm-up.
It looks like an unnatural position, but this doesn’t seem like an error that would’ve slipped through the cracks.

Yeah, this observation was brought up in a Reddit post I made about it. Upon first seeing it it feels like the wrist would have to be in an awkward position for the fingers to curl like that. But upon going through the sequence frame by frame, I noticed there's a mesh on the fingers that makes it make sense.
Also, it just seems like way too big of an oversight to make it into the final cut of the film.
