Truly saddening. He was a wonderful actor and a rare talent who breathed life and reality into all of his characters while taking care to not stand out too much, in a way that would hurt the work at large. He also seemed, by all accounts, to be a genuinely great human being, who cared about the people around him and was interested in those who'd, for whatever reasons, chosen crime as their way through life, always treating them compassionately and as fellow human beings, so far as they gave him reason to. Whether it was Omar Little, Chalky White, Tariq Khalil, Thief, Robert, Bobby McCray, whether it was a big role or a small one, I've always only seen him on the top of his game, an invaluable part of the work around him and one who certainly enriched it-or, in the case of his smaller roles, at the least had the tendency to do so nonetheless.

RIP Michael K. Williams. You shall be dearly missed.

Very sad indeed, given how spectacular all the shows she worked on are. Her screenwriting abilities will be deeply missed. :( RIP, Keiko Nobutomo.

I may not be the greatest American Football enthusiast, but I can't help but feel sad at the passing of a true legend :( . RIP, John Madden.

^ RIP John Madden. Loved him in the Replacements as well. And in the U2 music video “Stuck in a moment”.

Betty White dead at 99.
Spent a lot of time with my grandma’s growing up and seemed to watch golden girls more than I care to admit.

Film director and Orson Welles biographer Peter Bogdanovich has died at 82.

I don’t know what to say, his films didn’t break records but cinephiles like myself mourn his passing. if you haven’t seen *Paper Moon* or *Last Picture Show* please do they’re the best examples of 70’s New Hollywood auteurism.

Only saw a handful of his films, but that lip quiver from Guess Who's Coming to Dinner always stuck with me.

I've seen a couple of his but not that film, added to my watchlist. In the Heat of the Night is the first to come up in my head with the slap heard around the world.

I got the news on social media that Louie Anderson has passed away at 68 from cancer.

Some of you may remember him from Life of Louie. Such sad times.
