please please let it be good.............they show Neo and Trinity....how could that be? Or are they simply echoes of the originals? Maybe Big Daddy PC can clone them some new bodies to DL into. This is the Matrix after the cleansing of the "Smith Virus" which means humanity was no longer stagnated up to the
point of the "anomaly" represented by Neo. It went further....man it's something to look forward to come holiday time.

It's almost impossible for Trinity to come back since she was killed in real life outside of the matrix but as you say, they might have back logged her data somewhere. Neo is always tied to the Matrix so it is entirely possible he resurrects somehow. Of course, young Morpheus is a descendent of the original Morpheus, which is why they didn't show Jada Pinkett Smith's character who would obviously be the mother. It's interesting that most of the movie focuses on the Matrix and not Zion or sentinels/robot world.

I think Trinty can come back as her wounds were not as bad as Neo's also in The Animatrix it is implied heavily in the episode The Second Renaissance Part II that the machines do have an excellent understanding of our anatomy as they are shown taking us apart to see how we work its super dark and grim but it makes clear they have studied us to great length. If they can tamper with us, it's very possible they can repair us as Trinty wounds were internal, whereas Neo had his brain fried.

Though after much thought I think both Trinity and Neo are both programs and that on their deaths both of their minds were downloaded or transferred to new bodies, and they are starting to remember their old selves but in Neo it's coming out in identity crisis (Hence the therapy session) whereas Trinity gets awoken up by meeting him again.

Victor Miller is given full ownership of the Friday the 13th franchise after a long clusterfuck of a legal battle.
https://www.cbr.com/friday-the-13th-wri ... se-rights/

This is not good considering he had nothing to do with the sequels, most of which were better than the original and he has openly stated his distaste for the sequels despite never watching them...
"To be honest, I have not seen any of the sequels, but I have a major problem with all of them because they made Jason the villain," Miller explained in April. "I still believe that the best part of my screenplay was the fact that a mother figure was the serial killer -- working from a horribly twisted desire to avenge the senseless death of her son, Jason. Jason was dead from the very beginning. He was a victim. But I took motherhood and turned it on its head and I think that was great fun. Mrs. Voorhees was the mother I'd always wanted -- a mother who would have killed for her kids."

Fuck Platinum Dunes for not doing a sequel to the 2009 remake when they had the chance! It made the 2nd most in the franchise's history & was the best received of the many 2000s Slasher remakes aside from the 03 Chainsaw Massacre :irked:

Well apparently Miller only has the rights to the stuff in the first movie, and I guess the zombie Jason in the nightmare is held distinct from the Jason Vorhees we all know and love, so technically one could still make movies with Jason Vorhees as long as the film does not use recognizable elements from the first movie like Pamela Vorhees or Crystal Lake.

So that would be the ultimate battle, I suppose. What is more important to Friday the 13th? Crystal Lake? Or the iconic villain who lurks within?

Home Sweet Home Alone
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BkVf2voCr0

I don't normally complain about trailers as it's not a finished product, but there is a reason the other reboots of his have failed, and it's due to Macaulay Culkin's chiasma and clearly Disney have utterly failed to realize this.

Plus I desperately wanted this film to about his mom as I've always had this deep suspicion that when Kate was a child she was as ruthless as Kevin and probably nailed burgers like he did and that's why they such a strong connection, plus in both movies she makes the dangerous trips to find him not his dad, and it would have been a great way to avoid a poor reboot and tie home alone 1-2 together.

I'm very curious if the ending on this one will be like the original or if they'll change it radically
SPOILER: Show
As in the original Bowies character fails on the climate change mission to save his family and his human wife really hates him towards the end as he doesn't age, but people age around him do. It's also really on the nose about how shitty and unhelpful humanity can be and how greedy we are.

Strongly interested in these top 2 projects.

Tokyo Vice with Ken Watanabe & Rinko Kikuchi (pacific rim)
https://youtu.be/l3oWrNQo_Ng

Outer Range with Josh Brolin.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFj5K7WmwqI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM6rrYWbZ5g
Outer Range centers on Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness. A thrilling fable with hints of wry humor and supernatural mystery, Outer Range examines how we grapple with the unknown. At the onset of the series, the Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (the gaudy owners of the neighboring profit-driven ranch) make a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of tension-filled events, and seemingly small-town, soil-bound troubles come to a head with the arrival of a mysterious black void in the Abbotts’ west pasture. Wild revelations unfold as Royal fights to protect his family; through his eyes, we begin to see how time contains secrets held in the past and unsettling mysteries foreshadowed.

Memory with Liam Neeson. Punisher + Memento?

Looks better than the trailers for some of his last few action films (Cold Pursuit, The Ice Road)

Beast - https://youtu.be/oQMc7Sq36mI
Looks solid & Elba is my favorite actor. Big fan of killer animal films & they are finally getting some respect again after The Shallows, Crawl and to a lesser extent The Meg & 47 Meters Down brought them back from the SYFY channel parody swamp of Sharknado garbage.

That being said this looks extremely similar to Prey (2007) with Peter Weller which was fairly good - https://youtu.be/aQOgISvzfyw

View Original Postmovieartman wrote:Trailer 2 for The Night House with Rebecca Hall - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8WQGXkif_s

Watched this a few nights ago, very good.

Hall is quickly making herself a modern queen of psychological thrillers between that & the upcoming Resurrection with Tim Roth, trailer - https://youtu.be/59RjB4m2KSQ

I need to go back and watch her 2011 ghost movie The Awakening.

So, Lightyear hasn't been doing too hot. It's brought in $85 million in its worldwide opening weekend, which compared with its $200 million budget isn't very much. One of the reasons I've seen suggested for this is that Pixar spent the last few years releasing its movie exclusively on Disney+, to the point that the demand for them in theaters became muted.

But what's the fallout from this for Pixar? Even in the best-case scenario-- that Lightyear does well overseas and barely manages to double its budget-- it'll still be considered disappointing. Will we then see Pixar movies relegated exclusively to Disney+? Or will they continue to be released to theaters, but with lower budgets than before? Pixar's next movie, Elemental, is tentatively scheduled for a theatrical release in June 2023, but that could easily change.
Life can seem a challenge. Life can seem impossible. It's never easy when so much is on the line.
