Not super familiar with the games nor have I seen the previous film adaptations but I really like some of the designs & I am a big fan of Hiroyuki Sanada (47 ronin, the wolverine, the ring, the last samurai) who is playing Scorpion and am happy to see him & Sub Zero get a lot of focus in the trailer.

I confess I do like the first Resident Evil movie as it was really grounded, which was lost in the later sequels.

Does the animated street fighter 2 movie count? As I though that was amazing on release like the Chun-Li vs Vega battle was badass along with her putting him through a wall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JEkneZMNiE

I have a soft spot for the Assassin's Creed movie. I never played the games, but the movie is pretty fun

One of my favorite guilty pleasures is the first House of the Dead movie with the over 7 minute gunshot sequence vs. the zombies with rap metal playing in the background.

I'm that guy who actually liked the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which has sent me into a year-long quest to discover if, truly, my tastes in film were always trash.

I appreciate how refreshing it was to see that a studio and a director actually took fan criticism to heart and worked overtime to try and fix the movie after the unfortunate design they originally went with.

Some other projects we have coming up.

Tomb Raider anime coming to Netflix.
Please be "2D" like Blood of Zeus/Castlevania.
It's set after the most recent trilogy of games.

Set in 1998, the film will divulge the secrets of the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City, while serving as an origin story for the first and second games

(2) 8 episode live action Netflix series - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Evil_(TV_series)

Looks solid, I still need to watch the previously released CGI animated Resident Evil movies.

Love Lance Reddick & him playing a villain sounds cool but isn't Wesker suppose to be a white supremacist?
No one else I am familiar with.

I wonder if Lance Reddick is still as cut as he was in the Wire. That man had like, negative body fat.

Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqFjjs_qNn4

This looks far superior to the movie version, which was a train wreck. I hope this is sucessful so they maybe follow it up with a series.

SPOILER: Show
The elder is Lunastra I am wondering if they will also show Teostra her male mate as though Teostra isn't as strong as Lunastra, and she protects him from Nergigante who eats elder dragons they do have a bonding move that is beyond brutal as it can one shot in the game if you don't have the right kit.

Hayley Atwell will be voicing Lara! :w00t: (in a better world she would be starring in live action adaptations :um: )

A lot of people seem really down on it, I really don't think it looks that cheap (cgi dog was bad tho) or generally bad. :uhh:
And they do seem to be going in a more horror direction than the previous movies.
Very happy Kaya is the main character, she was great in Crawl.

Trailers for Paramount's Halo series.

2nd is much better. Shot of the woman walking down the hallway while the giant worms/parasites slaughter soldiers around her was cool.
Armor looks good.
Reviews so far largely seem meh. From what I have heard the show is focused on politicians/scientist far more than the space marines.

Thanks for clearing up which actress played the right Resident Evil character, movieartman. At first, I confused Claire with Hannah John-Kamen and Kaya Scodelorio as Jill. Anyway, I do believe that when I saw the reboot that Kaya gave the part of Claire an Alice 2.0 feel while Hannah made Jill look like comic relief. Just my honest opinion since I never completed the games.

To this very day, Super Mario 64 and the first Super Smash Bros are the cream of the crop when it comes to the Mario game franchise. Now when it comes to making a proper film adaptation that both does it's own thing like the Sonic films pulled off successfully, I am extremely cautious about Chris Pratt portraying the famous plumber instead of Charles Martinet who has been the Mario of our childhoods.

Uwe Boll's adaptations are the best!
