I started playing piano in 2009, in my freshman year of high school. Evangelion: 2.0 came out that summer, and this children’s folk song, which plays ironically during the apocalyptic climax, absolutely smote me and inspired my first attempt at arranging music sans sheets.
Evangelion: 3.0 came out in my freshman year of undergrad, followed by an absurdly long wait for the fourth and final film. Now, nine years and two-and-a-half degrees and one real-life apocalypse later, 3.0+1.0 comes out in my last leg of grad school, bookending a long academic, artistic, and personal journey.

Very nice cover, I greatly enjoyed listening to this!
I can see why Gendo hired Misato to do the actual commanding. He tried it once and did an appalling job. ~ AWinters

The movies function on their own terms. If people can't accept them on those terms, and keep expecting them to be NGE, then they probably should have realized a while ago that they weren't going to have a good time. ~ Words of wisdom courtesy of Reichu
