Translation: United Cinema Toshimaen The new version of Shineva from the 12th will be screened twice, both of which are already sold out!

Also, according to the @eigarankingnews Twitter account (they've been tweeting how much the film has made daily since release but they do tweet images that could be considered spoilers) some theaters will be screening the film up to five times a day and a lot of the showings are/will be back on IMAX.

If this means 10 billion yen, then banzai!

I'm kind of glad I live out in the countryside for this. The theaters haven't been packed when I've been to go see the movie, which is great for social distancing. Plenty of space around me. Looking at the seat map, though, this is going to be a more full than normal showing. Exciting!

(I think this doesn't spoil anything about 3.0+1.0 but feel free to warn me) New EVA-EXTRA EX ad spotted with what I think is a teaser for the -120 manga. Interesting to see Mari with her 2.0 uniform in there and that is totally Matsubara's drawing, I recognize his way of drawing noses anywhere

Yeah, Matsubara's drawings are unmistakable. And in this ad Asuka is still wearing that other plugsuit model.

I guess this means Maeda is in charge of background drawings, the Wunder's insides totally need that kind of crazy details he can pull off. Only two more days to find out!

Based on the teaser art I'm getting the vibe whatever Evangelion 3.0 (-120min) is about that Asuka is going to be the main focus. Tweet says art is not related to the content but it's more Adorable Asuka. Love that he's drawn Asuka in Chuck Taylors! my go to shoes!

I've been able to remain unspoiled on the majority of the movie but I do know about the village and I've known about it for so long I don't even consider it one anymore but it certainly is. Lol.

Same, considering it technically gets mentioned in 3.0 I’m pretty sure it’s a bit of a grey area but wanted to mention it just to be safe.

Looks like one theater -Tachikawa Cinema City - has already sold out every showing for the entire weekend. The movie has currently made 8.69 billion yen. I'm very curious to see where it will be on Monday.

If I'm reading it right, the same user also said that around 3200 seats are already reserved for Saturday screenings and that's only coming from one cinema chain (34 venues from United Cinema), meanwhile last Saturday's seat occupation number nationwide was 6421 from all 254 venues that are still showing it. This is certainly a lot bigger than expected, the first Gundam Hathaway film (Man, this official English title is awkward af) is also premiering today so it's definitely shaping up to be a eventful weekend for two big mecha franchises.

Is 9 billion by Monday possible?

lol, it would indeed be pretty funny if Asuka literally gets her eyepatch 2 hours before the events of 3.0

She has it in the Next Time preview, the events of which presumably precede Q... though by how much time, we don't know. When she got the eyepatch isn't certain, other than that it was after Ha and before Q.
