Honestly, god only knows. We've been burnt by rumours too often here to assume it really will come to Prime. The Latin American rumours, and the accompanying release schedule that involved the first three rebuild films, have so far been nothing. Maybe something will materialize later on, but I'm not trusting anything right now.

Amazon Prime streamed ep. 1-26 of NGE itself in Japan prior to Netflix getting the global rights for the the series, so it wouldn't be unprecedented for Netflix to buy up something Evangelion related globally (including in Japan) to stream on their platform. Khara is not afraid to switch their streaming partner, both domestically and overseas.

We'll have to wait and see.

It really is a crapshoot at this point. My money's on amazon getting streaming rights in Japan and then once the US version is ready it'll be on netflix for a while before we get a physical release.

I'm pretty sure he got all his information from here. He was saying FUNimation was going to release it in earlier videos, but almost as soon as members here started talking about Amazon Prime, he switched tunes.

Yeah, I don't think he has any special insider info. He has whatever we have.

All movies have been redubbed by Amazon, 3+1 is dubbed, and they're all coming to Prime whenever khara feels like it.

Yeah, I also think that the redubbing of the first three movies is to release it in a bulk when they're ready to put all 4 films on prime worldwide

I think that it'll be streamed on amazon prime as well, but my reason for believing so is that they just made another page for international viewers (which is visible with a google search) I was surprised to see that I had access to that page, seeing that amazon doesn't really have a lot of anime on prime video for our country.

I don't think that they'll put it on Netflix tbh, the relationship bw Khara and Amazon are better and if I recall correctly they have already announced that they will be bringing the rebuilds there.

If it turns out that GKids gets the physical and digital download rights to NTE like with the Ghibli films, then there's a dream that we'll get an Ultimate Evangelion Box Set containing the following:

Neon Genesis Evangelion (With both TV and Director's Cut Episodes for 21-24), Death(True)^2, End of Evangelion, 1.11, 2.22, 3.33(3), 3.0+1.0 (or whatever the home video release will be called, if applicable), along with some analysis & behind the scenes goodies

Technically the original version of NGE is also missing, the "TV cut" included in the HD boxsets is the reworked 2004 version cut to not feature the extra content. The real TV version was never remastered in FullHD.

Also Evangelion: Death(True) and Death(True)2 are actually 2 different movies.

But I'm sure a boxset will eventually happen, khara will not miss the chance to milk Eva again in the future.
