A few other informations that may or may not mean anything:

- The current social media fan contest to win some stuff ends at the end of June
- This time the 12m preview looks to be on Prime Video permanently, there is no mention of an ending date
- The 1 million copies print poster gift of Asuka and Rei given to tickets holder of Shin from this Saturday is enough to bring Shin to 10 billion yen if they sell them all (1500 yen x 1000 = 1,5 billion yen, the movie is currently at 8,37 billion yen)

I think ultimately getting the film out of Japan is tied to it reaching 10 billion yen at the domestic box office.

July 2nd-5th for the next self inflicted disappointment then.

Also what's this new poster? Should I avoid looking or is this something I can probably get on ebay to go with my booklet that I can't look at?

As just stated, it's a new give-away for theatrical viewers from Saturday onwards. I dare say it'll start appearing on eBay for inflated prices soon after this weekend.

I do love me some inflated goodies. Wasn't sure if it was just a Rei version of the Asuka card or a new thing with them both, but it is just a Rei card.

I sure hope the film reaches 10 bil! If getting 10 bil IS the way to convince Khara to release it internationally and all.

Time to put the tinfoil hats on and mark Anime Expo on the calendars

It's CLEARLY an Asuka rip off and due to that exact info, I wouldn't be surprised if we get more info about the movie during the convention xD

I don't think the mascot looking like Asuka means anything by itself, necessarily. She just happens to be an iconic design that gets borrowed and/or ripped off sometimes.

That artwork looks remarkably close to Asuka in her revised 3.333 plug-suit though, oddly enough. I remember its look from comparisons on this very forum.

I'm not expecting any international release news for a little while yet. I hope I'm wrong :biii:
Don't be.

So Spike Spencer posted this earlier: https://twitter.com/spikespencer/status ... 12129?s=21
Do you think he's recording for Thrice Upon A Time?

Well, it seems like he said no...

...but who knows, maybe it's because nobody's got a license to the film yet.

I'd put the probability of this being about Shin as greater than zero, but there's always a chance that this could be for a completely unrelated project. We shall soon see...

Spike said it's not Eva, so I'm comfortable saying it's zero.

I myself believe he's not doing Eva for the time being. I mean, everything's unknown right now, so I'm at least willing to consider the possibility that Spike may return, even if it's less than 1% likely.

My opinion on Spike's tweet is due to the NDA he's signed, even if we could/wanted to tell us if it was Eva he would have to keep his mouth shut and give the same answer regardless. Even if he was asked, "Are you working on Final Fantasy XVI?" the answer would be a big fat "NO". The same thing applies to anyone in the MCU, even though Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo are known for being MASSIVE blabber mouths (much to the delight of the fans AND Marvel xD). Also, I might be over-analyzing things here, but he posted the following video and I want you to take a very close look at the T-shirt he's wearing:https://twitter.com/spikespencer/status/1393718533213720578?s=20. IT MIGHT BE A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME!!! xD

I've got that t-shirt, but no one's asked me to voice Shinji!

To over over-analyze things, this could be him telling us that him voicing Shinji is a false alarm.

............. He's voicing Kaworu in Shin Eva instead.

This is hard to interpret, the last movie took years to redo.
