LOL Aeon Cinema has a total of 21 showtimes for Shin Eva on the first day alone, it's practically playing in all venues! The last show is on 17:00 so this is still with the lockdown business hour limitation!

The user noted that this makes consecutive repeat viewings easier. (Also you may see the "175 minutes" runtime on the upper right corner, the extra 20 minutes is for cinema staffs to clean the venues and prepare for the next showing).

Oh, actually Megumi Ogata retweeted that one. But yeah, I do like sinking my teeth deep inside the JP Twitter side of things to see the activities surrounding the film over there, really makes me feel the festivity too LOL.

By the way Sagisu published yet another score tease and this time it's a strings-only version of Jikai Yokoku! He noted that he wrote the original song 2 hours before recording, 26 years ago (March 12, 1995).

Almost 9 years of waiting.

People stuck in a lockdown for weeks, desperate to get out and enjoy things.

Completely predictable that it would crash websites! With less than 100% seats filled in a screening they are hot tickets right now

Hopefully, the majority of Japanese Twitter users will consistently use the #シンエヴァ tag and it'd make it much easier to avoid spoilers as you can mute keywords and hashtags.

Yeah it got me thinking too.

That "Peaceful Times" ahort was created because Sagisu was sad 3.0 was the last use of that song.

Obviously it could still show up in some form, but might just be for the OST.

Reminder though: the song did play over the Shinji-Asuka training montage in episode 9.

The sadness is starting to sink in that this is the final end at least of anno’s evangelion.

Yup. It's like that tweet someone reposted here from a Love Live(?) voice actress noting her "Ending Dilemma" where she was happy and willing to see the end but kind of sad it is so.

I feel similarly. I really hated waiting this long for Final, 3.0 was some damn cliffhanger that's for sure, but now we're possibly at the end of it all. I look forward to seeing whatever Anno makes next, I hope he makes another anime before he retires but even if it's all "Shin (Tokusatsu)" that'll be alright, especially if he sticks with Shiro Sagisu, the Shin Godzilla soundtrack is excellent. Shin Gamera would be pretty cool I guess.

I also hope they open the floodgates and try to make at least a couple shows with new directors at Khara within the next 5 years. The animator expo seemed like an experiment to build talent and see what ideas they could run with. The Dragon Dentist deserves a sequel.

And of course, one issue is we're now entering "stay the hell away from spoilers" mode. I feel like I knew the bit twist at the beginning of 3.0 before I watched it as well as some basic ideas of other stuff so I want to avoid that entirely this time.

The app has been gaining extreme popularity in Japan thanks to its handy UI and information accuracy, even non-Eva fans are using it, although I wonder if fans also appreciate the irony of a disaster prevention app being branded with NERV considering the unexpected turn of events in 3.0.
