That's not good, since a plausible older version (with the obvious differences, and some wiggle room since they're different people and one isn't entirely Lilim) is my goal. Keeping that in mind, what would enhance the resemblance?
Did go to great pains for the eyes -- despite the stylistic difference -- and the way the hair grows in.
EDIT: Although, I'm finally noticing multiple problems with his eyes (too close together, too low on the face, too big) that do not seem so readily fixable. Yui Ha Mashiyach, I hate drawing. This image is doomed.

Yeah, I think I see what you mean... Supposed to be thin, but not emaciated. This is probably what Magami was referring to earlier.

The pallette-swapped version of Shinji's mom doesn't look very much like him at all, so I figure there's no problem here, either, as long as you can tell the source of Kaworu is also Misato's dad just by looking at him.
