Today might just have been one of the best days of 2020 for me personally. Despite the unfortunate scheduling of having two exams on the same day, I did far better than expected on both, won an auction for a figure that I really wanted for a while now at half the usual price and a bunch of my favorite creators put out really fun new stuff. For all the stress of the past few weeks of preparing for finals, this more than makes up for it.

Oh joy of joys! Today, I finally got my brand new iPod Touch in the mail and have been busy filling it up with my old busted iPod's material. Even sounds better and has a brighter looking camera than the old one.

I am feeling overjoyed because after over a week of pain on the sole of my right foot, it has finally recovered. I had hurt it initially when I stepped it in the bathtub and the ground there even with the cushion that prevents slipping is too hard.

Don't wanna jump the gun here, but I'm fairly certain I'm gonna get a Video Production Manager position at a nearby Christian theological institution. A friend of mine altered me to the position, and I quickly updated my video demo reel and resume. Lately I've been feeling a strong desire to create a safe space for video artists to work their magic, free from sexual predators and intellectual property thieves, and I feel like this is a good start towards that goal.

It'll be miles better than the current day job I have as an unlicensed optician. I thought about getting a license in optical sciences as a backup carrier option, but I don't want to spend 2.5 years and more money just to secure a job in MORE retail. Not now, anyway.

I'm good. I'm finally on vacation (only at my house, unfortunate pandemic), my job is unfortunately a little stressful (I'm software developer), now I can relax my mind.

That's good bro, I had to weeks off of work.

I've heard that's an incredibly stressful job, I was told to avoid it and just aim for CCNA.

Feeling pretty good for the first time in a few years.

Things seem to be improving. Going to have some extra money soon, gonna get a new pair of glasses, writing suck without them, my eyes fucking hurt.

Managed to make some time to hang out with family and friends today. Now I've got the workload of a whole day piled up in front of me. But it was worth it.

Have had a great month staying with family for the holidays. After this long lonely year in a pandemic it's been great to be with people and I even brought my work computer & some hard drives with me so I didn't lose out on a months worth of work.

It ends this week, have to get back to the real world, but it's been great.

I hope everyone had a relaxing and safe holidays.

I had my first dose of Covid vaccine today. My wife was volunteering at a vaccine clinic as a steward, and because of the sudden 2" snowfall this morning there were missed appointments and doses which would have been left unused - so she was offered one; she called me to come along to have it in her place, unless there were enough for both of us (there were).

So I'm that bit more likely to survive long enough to see Shin...
